BCAA Supplementation Necessary?
Strong people,
I was doing some research this last weekend and had an epiphany involving BCAA supplementation. The down and dirty is the following:
I drink two protein shakes a day, one immediately post-training and the other after dinner. Both of these different brands of protein (ON and EAS) have between 4.5 and 5.5g of BCAAs in the protein powder itself. Now, I also supplement with a BCAA powder, which I believe has another 5g of BCAAs. Now, I've heard the old adage "nothing exceeds like excess," and if you pick up the reference we could probably be friends, but is the BCAA supplement really necessary? I'm already consuming 10g of BCAAs through my protein powder. How much is enough?
Thanks for any input you may have.

I think your getting more than enough bcaa from your protein powder. Was that a scareface reference???

That's kinda what I thought too. Its kind of unfortunate, because I really like the taste of the BCAA supplement I use. But I could save some coin there to buy other stuff, like more chicken....or maybe even some steak!
