I don't know about the US types of slin; onset, peak, duration for humalog.
But when doing NovoRapid (insulin aspart) a very rapid insulin with;
Onset; 10min
Peak: 1h
Duration; 3-5h
Then post slin meal is CRUCIAL!
Without it you don't get the nutrients you need for the slin to do it's job.
I always do a protein shake instantly with the pin,
since I want fast absorbable protein.
Having high amounts of available amino acids in circulation along with an ample supply of glucose to be converted to glycogen is essential for slin use IMO.
When I use slin pre workout (a dangerous practice),
I have a protein shake with the pin,
and drink BCAA, glutamine, taurine, Creatine, beta alanin,
And most importantly; maltodextrine during the entire workout.
Workouts on slin for me is a totally different things than without.
Forget HIT. Can't do it cause my stomach will be too full.
Rather I do volume with long breaks.
So that I get a good pump, and keep up nutrients during the entire workout.
I rarely do slin pre workout though, but find it to be quite effective.
But given the choice with 1 injection; I do it post workout.

The meal1 is directly after your insulin aspart shot right?
As well as meal4?
It's dextrose in there so yes you can get away with waiting, but I'd say fuck that if using insulin aspart. It's so fast you want DIGESTED food in your system by the time it starts to work.
And the protein does take some time, so I'd eat with the shot, not time it to the onset.
With 6u of NovoRapid on HGH you're diet looks allright.
Have some fast acting carbs to sip on the side.
Juice, chocolate low fat milk, etc.

Oh, remember to get a glucometer and use it to get to know your response.
Insulin is strange. On can feel hypo when BG is normal,
and one can feel normal when BG has allready begun to drop a bit low.
Just going by "feel" can be really scary, plus you'll learn a lot more about your body if you measure.

sweet boss, So for example:
hgh 3iu, 6iu humalog followed right away with (breakfast):
50g dextrose
30g whey
10g creatine
4 whole eggs
2 bagels with jam
and then i can just go about my diet as normal and have the next meal 2 hours later or so and not worry about timing ?Last edited by leanmachine6; 06-08-2017 at 01:59 PM.
