About fat loss, Keto or not, it's all about calories so why ?

    Hi Everyone,

I am trying to achieve my goal and to reach 12% BF after having been advised not to use T3 for now... As said Austinite, the lower your BF is, the better AAS will work for fat loss.

    OK !

I ve been wondering about Keto and calories, and I have a question :

Keto is a poor carbs diet but what's the point ? In the end, it doesn't even it matter because it's just about calories.

1500 calories of protein or 1500 calories of fat or 1500 calories of carbs, it is the same (excepted that protein are required for muscle preservation and that digestion use 25% of it) !

To lose fat, it is the number of calories that you eat. If you eat too much calories, you will gain fat no matter if it's protein, carbs or fat.

Since 1 cal of carb is = 1 cal of prot, what is the purpose of following a poor carbs diet ?

On the contrary, without carbs, you will have a hard time for working out.

Yeah I know, you must be saying but if there is no carbs the body will use fat for energy ! But if there is too much protein, the body will start a neoglucogenesis so what's the point ?

Let s take for example the following diet :

    250 gr of prot/35gr of carbs/80 gr of fat= 1860 cal
250 gr of prot /125 gr of carbs/40gr of fat = 1860 cal

If this total amount is higher than what you burn, you will gain fat no matter what macro you eat.

To lose fat, you just have to eat less calories than your body requires, so I don't understand the point of a keto diet.

Can someone explain me where is the trick ?
