Rice Calories
I bought big ass rice bag. Long-grain, enriched...blah blah...
Well I look at the nutrients, and it says 150 calories 1/4 cup...now that must be a typo right? I looked on the net, and I could only find 1 cup of raw rice is like 675 calories, and cooked rice around 205 calories per 1 cup??? now, wtf? or my really stupid?

if 1 cup raw rice = 675 calories, then maybe the rice you bought is a raw measurement. it makes sense.
if 1 cup raw = 675 then 1/4 cup of that same rice = 169 calories. yours says 1/4 cup = 150
pretty darn close

the 1 cup raw was 675 cals
and the 1/4 raw was 150 cals
it makes sense...but if I cook it, then its only going to be 205 cals per 1 cup???

1 cup cooked rice is about equal to 1/4-1/2 cup uncooked rice. I know the rice I buy says that 1 cup uncooked equals 3 servings and each serving is 1 cup cooked rice.

The calories don't go anywhere. The one cup of cooked rice you're eating is equal to about 2/5 cup of uncooked rice.
