How much maltodextrin for PWO drink?
Guys, Thanks for your responses on my previous post. Since i already consume 46g protein, 5g creatine, 50g dextrose with my bottle of gatorade for my PWO drink, would adding maltodextrin be overkill? If not, how much should i use? Would this pwo drink be enough to take care of my pwo carb needs befor having my FULL ppwo carb/protein meal 2 hrs later? Thanks !

if you add malto then lower your dextrose amount.....say im getting 60g carbs pwo ill do 30 dex and 30 malto...estimate...anyways malto is still pretty high GI, but i read that it's a bit slower digesting than malto which keeps it in your system til you eat a ppwo meal.

Thanks! i think il just stick to the dextrose and gauge my needs from there.

There are better pwo drinks out now besides dextrose, especially since you are taking creatine and r-ala.
However, since the topic is dextrose or malto. Optimally, it is better to take both to ensure full saturation at different intervalls.
Also, taking a lowcarb blend would be better than just whey.

I get 3 pounds of malto, and 3 pounds of dex and put it one big tub, shake the **** out of it and then use 1.5 to 2 scoops in my pwo shake.
