hard boiled eggs
i have very little time in the morning, my own fault, and because of that i usually dont get breakfast but i just thought if i boiled eggs the night before then i could eat them fast in the morning.. my question is... Do you think the hard boiled egg takes away protein or something because of it being boiled?

no it doesnt loose any protein and its better that its boiled due to the fact that its not soken in oil, butter, or what ever you fry your eggs on.. i only eat boiled eggs with the exceptions of a meat, tuna and egg omlet every now and then.. but no boiled eggs do not loose anything due to the fact thier boiled.. however they do contain a lot of fat in the yolk 90 cals in a extra large eggs with approx 6 grams of fat and 7 grams of protein while an egg white has 16 cals no fat and only 3 grams of protein..

DO NOT DRINK EGGS this has been gone over a hundred times. you can and chances are will get sick. however if you are stubbern as some of the people on this board are you can get cartoned pasturized egg whites which you can drink.. it isnt a great idea to drink raw eggs stright from the shell..

eggs and chicken carry Salmonella and should be cooked before eaten. I eat 6 boiled egg whites and 3 yolks every morning... along with some oatmeal and toast.

the boiling of the eggs is what makes the protien in them digestable, if not for the heat, they would not straighten and be to hard to digest, luckily your stomach acid works the same as heat, as far as raw eggs, thats covered and very unhealthy. i eat about 15egg whites a day, and no yolks, your body need a certain amount of cholestorol a day, and one egg yolk has more than your body needs, so anything over that is unhealthy and over time will kill you.

just to let you guys know, i got salmenela (sp) poisining from eating raw eggs. I was sick for about 4 days straight. I was constantly on the toilet seat all day long and I had horrible stomach pains. There are other ways to get your protein.

I eat hard boiled eggs all the time for convenience. the hardness of the egg will depend on how long you boil it. Time it the minute the water starts boiling then add the egg
10 mins. nice and firm but moist
20 mins firm and dry.
to make shells easier to peel simply put the eggs in a bowl of cold water after boiling.
