    Disposing of Insulin needles

    What is the proper way to do this? Guess it is a stupid question but it feels weird just throwing them in the trash. My mom's living with me and now needs shots every day. Ugg

    You can buy a bio sharps box, but why pay? I put them in old HARD PLASTIC containers IE juice, detergent, cleaners etc...

    I buy a sharps box(less than 4 bucks at walmart) and un screw the needle and put it in and throw the rest in the trash.I take it and drop it off at my local hospital once a year by doin it that way.not bad that way.

    Me too. I use gallon containers and they can hold a lot of syringes.
