options for a 62 year old
My old man just turned 62 and got put on cholesterol lowering meds the other day.
His blood pressure is also too high at times.
After reading about how Nolvadex increases test production and has good affect on blood lipids I got thinking if Nolva is actually given to older men as a form of hormone treatment ?
Just trying to learn what ways he can go to improve his quality of life, he is still active and well but we tend to grown old pretty fast at that age.

Mate, i am not the most knowledgable on this board by a long shot, but have you looked at seeing a hormone specialist, getting a blood level done and see what they might offer.

^^ Exactly!! A hormone specialist or anti-aging clinic might just be the ticket. Maybe you can hook him up to this forum and let him see just how common this stuff is. He might relate with reading other members stories, which might just help him turn the corner.

HRT clinic would be of great benefit. And, no, nolva by itself is not a good idea. E2 levels would drop too low and that has it's own range of problems.

Sometimes people make mistakes. Fecking relax. He was right -- I was wrong. Simple as that. I'm glad someone came along and provided more accurate info without attacking me or my character for being wrong. We're all just trying to be helpful and relate to topics based on our own experience. None of us get it right all the time.

Thanks guys.
He does not understand english so he can not check out the forum on his own.
But I have talked to him about the option of mentioning this to his heart doctor that is actually an endocrinologist.
He has an appointment in august and I just wanted to get some info for him before he goes to see him.
There are no anti-aging clinics in this part of the world so he has to make due with seeing his doctor when he comes around.
He had a blood test done the other day and asked to have his test levels checked but not estro levels, not sure if that is needed even but we´ll see what the doctor says in august, and yeah thats how long he has to wait till he gets his results.

I can see the problem you have with your location, and this may not be the responce you are looking for but while options like TRT do help (i use it at 45) you really need to know medical background, any exsisting problems, cancer history etc that maybe present etc, and for that you really need a doctor. I think he is lucky to have someone that is caring helping him, and i don't know what your situation is (ie; can you get to a good clinic??) One option might be to try contacting and anti-aging clinic on-line and they may be able to help with the type of blood tests needed and maybe able to offer some idea for someone at his age....

Thank you lifter
Yeah I guess we´ll just have to wait and see what his doctor appointment brings to this.
There is a cancer history in our family, grandma died from cancer and grandpa has had parts of his lungs removed as well as having heart problems, but he was a big smoker.
