    Started my TRT today!

After seeing my doctor and having blood work done to confirm low testosterone , which was low 202, and .87 free test, my doctor sent me to see a Urologist. I had my appointment this morning and I was completely prepared to argue my case and fight but he took a look at my blood results and put my right on TRT today. I received my first shot, he started me with 400mg of Testosterone propionate which I thought was strange. I expected to receive enanthate or cypionate . He told me he generally gives men 1 shot a month but sometimes once every 2 weeks depending on how their levels do. He took some bloodwork of his own prior to giving me the shot and in two weeks wants to check my levels again to see where they are. He said the 400mg is a starting point for all his patients. So i am on my way, I will post my blood work results and progress as I go. I am anxious to feel some changes but i know it may take some time.

Propinate??? He was joking, right? Maybe it was Sustanon , which has a combination of esters. Dude, if he seriously thinks giving 400mg of prop 1x per month, or even 2x month is the way to administer TRT, then get out while you still can. Here, read this: http://www.steroid.com/Testosterone-Propionate.php

Notice at the bottom where it says active life is 2 to 3 days. There is absolutely no balance with the protocol he is putting you on ... Your therapy will be comparable to Mt. Everest & Death Valley! Cyp has a active life of 14 to 16 days, and patients usually take advantage of keeping their program balanced by injecting at least 1x per week. This is utilizing the half life to sustain stability.

Ni I dont think so. I was pretty clear about my question and what type of test he was giving me. I specifically asked if it was cypionate or enanthate and he definitely said Propinate. He said there was really no difference between the Cypionate and the Propinate. Maybe he was talking about this one though.
    Testosterone phenylpropionate: Chemical formula C28H36O3
Testosterone phenylpropionate is a slow-acting ester, with a release time of 1-3 weeks. A popular name brand for T-phenylpropionate is "Testolent ." Testosterone phenylpropionate is also one of the components of Sustanon and Omnadren .

I will print all this info and find out the answers when I go back in two weeks. Is there one thats prefered over another, what should I be asking for?

If he can write a script for any or all of it, I would just go with Cypionate . The other variable is the follow up lab work. 2 weeks is way too early to see your progress. The normal routine for first time medical follow ups is 6 weeks. Your baseline prostate score (PSA) should also be compared at that time.
