Androgel on testicles

I am on 10 mg Androgel a day and it works fair. I will probably go on injections ASAP, but I am so confused by all of the different steroid names and stacking.


Question:
Does anyone know WHY they warn against Androgel being on the balls?


I use it on my arms and chest, so it is not a problem, but I was just curious.

I'm trying to think through a head cold, so let me try and get this right.

first, about patches (not gels)
two types
scrotal and non scrotal
non scrotal uses a chemical to allow easier absorbtion through the skin
scrotal, since thinner skin, does not need this

now this is the sketchy part
the gels are geared up for being absorbed through non scrotal skin

if you apply androgel to scrotal skin, you won't get the right dose rate

maybe some one else can explain it better, feels like I'm trying to think through marshmellows

That's pretty much it. The skin is much thinner and thus more absorbtive on your testicles, which will result in a higher than intended dose than if you had put in on your arms and chest. Some people purposely put it on their testicles to get the higher dosage.

As well as the extra absorption, you will get a major increase in levels of DHT. Something you may or may not want.

Very true and it has an alcohol base which will dry up your sack. I think this would promote atrophy faster as well. A compounded cream would probably be safer but do the blood work to test the changes. Some say it is too close to the prostate for the risk....not sure if there is any evidence since Test does not negatively affect the prostate unless you had a pre-existing condition....so they say. My 2 cents.

I had no residue when applying to scrotum, although, I'm well maintained .
The shit burns though, start with a small amount, and work your way up.
When you get used to it, it's kinda........... Nice haha.
