    candidate for hormone therapy?

i am wondering if i am a good candidate for hormone replacement therapy of some sort. i am 29, very active, and feel like an old man. here is some of my history. when i was 11, i broke my right humerus bone in half pitching a baseball. the x-ray revealed that i had a cyst on my bone, which showed the bone to appear hollow looking at the break. two years later, i broke the damn thing again playing baseball, two inches higher than the previous break! i was going get an x-ray the next morning and my coach still put me on the field! so that healed up and never had a problem with it again. when i was 25, i was diagnosed with degenerative discs in my lower back. i went to a spine specialist and he did some injections, which messed me up even further. dumb ass went too far into my spine and made me leak cerebrospinal fluid for two weeks!!! worse headaches ever! i had to get two blood patches to fix his mistake. i should have sued his ass, but i chose not too. after that i went to physical therapy which helped out some. i have fixed that somewhat, and it does not bother me too much anymore. another problem that i have is my joints go snap, crackle, pop! every joint in my body cracks and pops loudly. it makes sneaking up on people impossible! HA! none of these injuries have ever stopped me from doing what i want to do, just suffered many set backs. i also have a depressed immune system, takes me longer to heal than most. i am thinking about making an appointment to go see one of these anti-aging clinics to see if i would be a candidate for HRT. i would have to think that growth hormone at a low level would help heal some of these injuries/problems, but not an expert. sorry to ramble on, but wondering if an appointment is needed to help start fixing the problems i have now. thanks in advance!!!!

forgot to mention, no libido problems or anything.

It wouldn't hurt to go get some blood work done. I wouldn't try to treat something that you are not sure is the problem.

nope sure ain't! i really can just deal with. i have a high tolerance to pain. i was on lortabs for a while, which are good, but that wasn't fixing the problem. but, i was an animal in the bedroom with them! HA! i do take aleve on occasions but the pain isn't as bad as it was in the past now that i am more active. sitting at my desk all day seems to make my back hurt more so i try to stretch as much as possible. and also to note, i am hardheaded as hell!

    nice bi's bro
mine are the oppositte...the left is more defined/slightly bigger...or is that pic turned sideways...lol...

if youre going to an AA clinic...best question is can i put this on 2 credit cards?? lol/jk....most of these clinics from what i've heard have staff that r knowledgeable with hrt but as you may have seen are usually liberal and want to sell the biggest package...you already said you were interested in growth hormone ...they're prolly reading this thread right now(yeh you!) and will be waitin for you...

well...hope it goes well and you get what you want and stay safe

thanks jpkman! and the picture, i have tried everything to get it right. i have no clue what the problem is. it maybe the program that i have on my mac. who knows? i will be going to this consult with an open mind and i am sure he/she will require me to go get some blood work done. i can get some blood work done at my work, but i will prob have to send some off to another lab to test the other levels. i just want to see if i will benefit from hrt or not. thanks, and i will keep yall updated.

well i went to the appointment and they said i could be a candidate. they took some blood and said that they would be contacting me. they wanted to charge me a lot for taking blood, then i explained to them that i can get my own blood drawn at work, and sent it off to get tested. the guy then said we will work out a payment schedule, blah blah blah... i am waiting for them to call me back and see what they have to say. does 300/month sound right for a hrt protocol?

From what i have researched, that sounds about average cost. honestly, wait for the results and if your lvls are low, see your family doc, it will cost alot less.

I tried 6 months of HGH (omnitrope) and it was very expensive and I was not that impressed with the results. I was trying to avoid having neck surgery due to 3 degenerated discs. Had the surgery a year later (last year) and went to a TRT clinic to try and get the most out of my recovery. Did test cyp and deca and it helped tremendously in my recovery.

As for the costs I believe that the HGH was about 3,000 for 6 months and the test and deca was around 700 for 10 weeks.

options thanks for sharing that...gh is definately a big expense to add to a hrt program and most would need to see a equally comparible benefit to equal that cost
