That is what you want, no blood. Blood means you are in a vein or have pierced one close on the way in. Also, aspirate slow because if you get blood, it will fill the syringe quickly. You can inject it all in another spot if it is a small amount, but it will be just that much more volume. And that will hurt more, otherwise waste/discard and start over.

Try injecting slowly, actually the 25 ga. will help with this. Then massage the area real good afterward.

I use a 25g, 1 inch. It takes quite a bit longer to draw from the vial. Just be patient, it's worth it. Some people draw with a larger gauge and pin with the 25g, but I found it to be a pain in the arse and just use the same for both.

1.5 inch is pretty long too and that may not help either. You may be sticking it in too far. Even with a 1 inch needle, I usually leave about a 1/4 inch showing. I've been injecting over a year now and I don't even feel it anymore. Even going in I barely feel it. Once in a blue moon my quad may be a *little* soar the next day, but pretty rarely.

    Best of luck.

I keep 18ga needles to draw with and switch the needle to a 23 or 25ga for injection, this speeds up the process tremondously and you will find if you inject with a brand new needle meaning you did not use it to draw with, the rubber in the bottle can dull the needle. The process is alot faster and less painful. Hope this helps..

I'm injecting in my quads with a 23g1, but drawing into the barrel with an 18G1, then switching needles. The 23G doesn't seem painful to me. Maybe I should try a 25G sometime. My injection sites are somewhat painful for up to 48 hours afterward...right now injecting a full ml of test.cyp.

my clinic coordinator said he never aspirates! most of the time i forget to aspirate and so far no problem. the first few shot i got sore for few days, but now no more soreness! i draw with 20g and inject with 23gx1.5". my new vial of test is with grape oil which is much thinner than other oils, it goes in much quicker!

My doctor never taught me to aspirate too. I always hit the glutes and couldn't see anyway, but after two years I hit a vein. I was on the floor coughing with snot running out on my nose. I felt like crap for about 30 minutes. I have been hitting the quads ever since so I can aspirate. I use a 23 gauge 1 inch needle, but I suppose a smaller gauge would work.

I hit my glutes as well and never pulled the plunger back...my MD never said to do so for whatever reason. Nevertheless, the glutes probably have the least chance of hitting a vein but it still can happen. It's hard enough to reach around to hit your butt with the syringe let alone pull the plunger back.

But like JPKman states; what's 3 seconds???

I am pulling that plunger back from now on!

Are you using US made human grade stuff? When I used to cycle I used mexican vet grade test and deca and I would always get the moderate to severe soreness but with human grade stuff no soreness at all.

Hay...my test. cyp. was prescribed by my doctor and obtained from a recognized pharmacy and I have been sore the last two injections, so I don't know if that makes much of a difference. Probably more of a difference in how much is injected and where it is injected.
