    My Recent Blood Work!

OK, i knew they didn't take enough blood and thats why my RBC and Hemoglobin went up quick, not worried about that, but i am worried about the platelets, for the last three tests it keeps going down! is this normal and is there a way to naturally raise it? also my E2 is lower than i expected, i am taking 2.5 mgs per week, so just to save money i won't take my dose on the day i inject since it takes 24 hours for the test to convert. my kidneys are still the same so i am not worried, and what adds to the negative reading is due to my blood being thick, and it makes it hard for the kidneys to filter properly. i am assuming once i get the RBC and Hemo down to normal my kidney function will improve. another thing i noticed is my total cholesterol is the highest I've ever seen, probably due to eating lots of meat! also need to get back on omega 3!

I compared yours to a recent one of mine. My Hemoglobin was 17.3. Had the bw first thing in the am after fasting and didn't drink anything when I should have. High Hemoglobin can be due to poor hydration. I drank ton's of fluids and retested and it was within the norm. Not up on platelets, mine were at 222 but monocytes were high. confusing.

Bass I drank so much friggen water. Prior to bed, middle of the night, then about two bottles first thing in the AM. Got the boy on the bus and had another on the way to the lab. It worked!

thats great if you are buying life insurance, but to know what your actual hormone levels are are day to day, its best not to cheat if you know what i mean! besides i drink at least one gallon of water every day.

    i just did a search,

    Fasting Benefits
If a patient taking a cholesterol test does not fast and the cholesterol levels are high, the doctor may require him or her to take the test again. Although the HDL and overall cholesterol readings will be accurate, a doctor will want to know the LDL level so he can make proper recommendations to lower cholesterol levels.

sounds contradictory/confusing to me....help me out..the hdl doesnt require a fast, the overall(total cholesterol) doesnt need a fast, BUT ldl needs a fast?

i drink at least one gallon a day not counting other fluids, so the dehydration is not the issue, for me at least! anyway, the clinic really screwed me up with this shit, first they should have told me to donate right from the start regardless! and when they wrote the order for therapeutic draw they only requested 1/2 a pint, what a fvcked up bunch assholes! they made me pay $82 each time to only draw 1/2 a pint! they way i found out, i said to the nurse wow that was fast for one pint! the nurse said no its only 1/2 a pint. no wonder my blood got thick again so fast. i am shopping for another clinic!

For what it is worth bass, after 6 months of TRT, my levels for RBC and hemoglobin, only went up one point. My doc told me eventually I would have to donate blood, but he said for some people it is once a year, other people more often. Of course, I do less T than most people, so that may be why I haven't had the issue yet. My doc also spent 20 years as "chief of something" in a teaching hospital, so he is used to teaching too. This has proven very beneficial to me because he is great at explaining all of this stuff up front. He's been teaching medicine for 20 years now.

That being said, yeah most docs are quacks: either they don't know or they don't tell us.
