Libido...Men and Women
I'll throw this out there...who has any good ideas about ways to increase libido, in either men or women? My wife's OB/GYN told her to take ginseng...as much as she wanted and that would be helpful. I'd not seen that around here, but certainly respect his medical knowledge.
Any other ideas in that vein? Herbals or stuff more difficult to source? I imagine we'd all like a little more of that drive going on.

There's a new peptide in final FDA approval stages that was originally formulated as a sunless skin tanner. During the initial trial and testing stages many of the women and men subjects all reported an marked increase in libido and higher desire for sex! You can find this peptide on research sites and best of all it's not expensive.
Do your search on: PT141 Bremelanotide for women

I have a friend who tired this along with his wife and he said sex that weekend was about as hot as when they first met 13 years ago!

SlimmerMe....thanks for the thread reference. I think I'll direct my wife there. She is, or has experienced some of the same issues discussed there. Seems pretty complicated to me as compared to the issues men face with hormones. She is getting a new OB-GYN....her's just retired. The doctor she will be seeing has written scrips to a compounding pharmacy (that's how we found the doctor), so she may be able to explore some of the bio-identical treatments discussed in that thread.
gdevine....PT141 is interesting stuff. I'd like to find a way to try it as an experiment.

Yeah I have. It's not a sunless tanner. You still need the sun to activate the peptide and get tan. It does increase libio which is a side effect. Nothing to crazy though but I am only 30 it might be different for someone older. It also can increase freckles or reveal them.
BC pills have been shown to decrease a women's libido. Also getting in shape and eating a clean diet can also help in that area.

my wife and I tried pt 141 which is an isolate? of melotonan 2, how? I got the stuff from a research company and we injected it for the first time in the back of our car right before boarding a cruise ship. Brohim, we are in our 50's and with the suggested starting dose my wife felt a throbbing pressure in her female parts but not in a "I want sex" sort of way. She did not really find it to be an aphrodisiac, but I'll tell you what does, the 10 mg of T she started on about one month ago! she feels it in her head and in her body.

PT-141 is a melanocyte stimulating hormone structured very similarly to cyclic melanotan 2 tanning peptide. The problem with administering a "suggested dose" is that there are no instructions for PT141 Bremelanotide, poor bio-availability (subcutaneous injection) and varying sensitivity across population. Initial dose of PT-141 (often over-dose) that causes throbbing is haphazard at best - best strategy for safety/success is to mirror the use of MT-2 users (ie, dose low and dose often) to achieve or experience the positive aphrodisiac.

Stress has been my best friend since I was a kid (work related). It has effected my libido for sure. My Doc just prescribed me Cabergoline (Dostinex) to help with libido. He says he has good results with it but it's not 100% like all things.

That is exactly my plan. I take 5mg Tadalafil and 1mg Doxazosin twice daily before bed and mid afternoon.
Just picked up the cab tonight and will take at the same time as my test injection at Monday morning and thursday night.
I'll let everyone know how I feel.
Should be a cool trial!Last edited by steroid.com 1; 04-03-2012 at 06:51 PM.
