Paying out of pocket for bloodwork?
So far all my bloodwork has been covered by my insurance. I'm really pissed off at my insurance co right now and am really considering dropping my insurance and just putting the 5k I spend a year in a savings account to use for our medical needs, seems like I have to fight with them to pay for anything.
They said my Test cyp would be covered and when I sent them my receipts they denied them saying $65 dollars they charged was to high and they couldn't reimburse me for anything so this is making me want to give them the big. If I do what would I pay out of pocket to get my full bloodwork done 2 times a year?

My last employer screwed up, and didn't pick up my Blue Cross. I inadvertently went to the the doctors for my bi-annual check up and blood work. The bills came back to me, the blood work was a little over $600. I called and pleaded poverty, and they reduced it to $300. Note that that was just the lab work, not the office visit, etc.
I too am considering going without insurance. My new jobs health insurance sounds really crappy, you pay the first $1500 per year, plus whatever the premiums are. If it wasn't for the fact that I ride a motorcycle all the time,.......
