    HCG and Pharmacies

Okay, well I finally got my doc to give me a prescription for injectable HCG . So yesterday I called a compounding pharmacy and asked about it. They told me that it came pre-packaged and that they combine the two. I assume they mean the HCG and the bacteriostatic water. They also told me that insurance usually does not cover it and that it was $170. I said okay. So I then called CVS Pharmacy to ask them about it. They said they can get it. They also told me it was $1577. Now how in the world is there so much difference in price from the two pharmacies? These prices were for 10,000iu. Can somebody tell me if either one of these prices is even close to what they are paying? Does CVS no what I am talking about?

Wow! Well, probably name brand and not generic. Overseas pharmas sell that amount of HCG for about $25. Of course, that HCG is sourced from India or China, so you may be taking a chance. But Wow...I am amazed. My doctor said HCG was expensive and probably not covered by my pharma insurance.

Those numb nuts at CVS (no pun intended) lol Giving you a price of $1577.00 probably thought that you said HGH NOT HCG ...

Anyone who has insurance and they say it's not covered needs to have their doctor write a "letter of medical necessity" and submit it to your insurance. Odds are you'll get coverage at that time. Hopefully, anyway.

I am having a real hard time finding a compounding pharmacy that will not mix the HCG and just give me the powder. Also, I have received prices now from $94-$1577. Although I think the $1577 the guy thought I said HGH. Does anybody know of a good compounding phardmacy near Dallas Texas that actually knows about HCG and will give you just the powder? Also my prescription is for 10,000iu and alot of the pharmacies I have called have told me they have to give me a 10,000iu vial. How long will that last me? Wouldn't it be better to get two 5,000iu vials and save one? As expensive as this stuff is I don't want to be wasting it.

Do you know how much they charge? I have searched and searched and cannot find these magical pharmacies that sell hcg for cheap. I posted this same stuff in my own thread, please understand, they did NOT think you meant HGH, lol, I have called 4 separate pharmacies and requested hcg pricing and received estimated between 1,000 and 1,600 dollars.

i think i may have foudn why we are getting these crazy prices. when i asked why exactly it was 1900 from my lcoal compounding pharmacy, i was told that it was because they dont stock it, and they would have to order it from wholesale, which means that i would have to buy 10 vials which contain 10,000 iu each.

Makes no sense. So they were going to charge you for all ten vials?

How long will an unmixed vial keep, still in lyphylized (sp) form. I understand 6 weeks once they are mixed but was hoping I could buy more and mix and use throughout the year.

I am liking those prices! Gave them a cal and am trying to get my scripts transfered over...sounds like that might be an issue though. Hope they can work thru it. I have been paying $210 for 10,000iu of HCG out of pocket.

I have been getting my HCG from Empower Pharmacy - Compounding Pharmacy - Houston TX since my Doctor began prescribing it to me early last year. $55.00 per 5000iu vial, free shipping (next day FedEx) if I order two vials at a time. I order two & keep the second in the fridge unmixed until it's needed. 30G insulin syringes, alcohol wipes, Bacteriostatic water (30ml) & syringe/18G needle for mixing included.

some pharmacists are ignorant, just like in all professions. I went to a pharmacy and they told me that hcg would cost me 2000, so i went to a different location and same pharmacy, and got it for 106 after tax. I also felt a lot better knowing those idiotas werent dealing with my prescriptions.

Here is my advice. Go to a DIFFERENT cvs, ask them to order novarel for you, and go on goodrx.com and print a coupon(make sure the coupon is for cvs)

2 of my go-to places for HCG no longer sell it. WTF? I have no script.

Its a pain in the azz finding places with decent prices in the US. I don't mind going over seas, but its 3 weeks and have read that it can be held up at the border. Don't want that hassle.

I don't get it. They still sell all the other peps. I wonder if they are getting guff from the gov for selling it? Someone else said it has to do with the soccer mom diet craze.

    Not sure, but it sux.
