No problem at all. It's an open forum. It relates to what I asked anyway. Seems my endo wants to try to scare me or is just unaware. Would not be surprised at all if it was the latter.
Question for you SEOINAGE, I read that you were on thyroid med s. Did they affect your T levels at all?
General question, can I get my results from my endo without having to make an appointment? I'm thinking of looking for a new doctor but want to get my results, when I get my BW done, that my current doc has ordered. He doesn't seem open to TRT and I feel like I'll just be wasting my time and money with him.

I was able to get my results faxed to me before going in again. I never had any blood tests done other than TSH while on thyroid meds, I doubt they improved test but I can't honestly say. I felt horrible for the entire time I was on them, and only got weaker in the weight room.

Went to the endo's office today. They'll send out my results in the mail, don't understand why they couldn't just photocopy them. Anyway I caught a glimpse of the numbers, Test went up to 12 (346) which puts me in range now unfortunately, TSH was the same, LH went up a couple of points, FSH stayed the same, prolactin was at 280 (range went up to mid to high 300's I think). I assume that's not optimal.
This was an 8am fasted draw. Getting another next week to compare. If my T is in range again TRT won't be an option, with this endo anyway.
I'll post full results when I get them.

Does anyone know the reference range for free T in ng/dL?
Or can some convert 7.41 ng/dL to pg/mL
I got that figure using this - http://www.issam.ch/freetesto.htm - which indicates 2.66% free T

Magnesium....0.7..........nmol/L.............0.74-1.03
Phosphate.....1.17........nmol/L.............0.8-1.5
Thats all of it. I'll right more later but briefly because I'm in the 'normal' range TRT is out of the question as far as the endo is concerned and since he thinks I'm normal he won't go into looking for the cause.
So now I'm back to square one. Gonna have to look for a doc to who's willing to look for the cause but don't know how that'll work since I'm in range now therefore I'm fine apparently.
Even he said the only way I'm going to get test is illegaly.Last edited by Ace111; 03-01-2012 at 05:41 AM.

Bump
Any comments on the latest blood work especially the lh, fsh and prolactin?
I was obviously told it's normal but is it?
I could manipulate my T levels to come in below normal and get prescribed testosterone but thats not the point. I need to know if I'm looking at primary or secondary hypogonadism here so I can find out what my treatment options are. I can't trust the doctors to tell me or to even help me since in their eyes I'm in the normal range.

looks secondary, have a doc maybe look at pituitary, although some things that the pituitary is involved in look fine possibly. Makes me wish I made sure to test my test a few more times to get a lower reading for insurance reasons.

yeah secondary is most likely but I don't know if a GP will even refer me for an MRI scan now since the specialist didn't see it necessary to do one.
This is frustrating. I can't train for more than 2 weeks at a time before I need a week off because I feel burnt out. Skipping workouts is becoming more common and now I'm losing my appetite.
Seems easier to just get this stuff myself and bypass the medical experts

find a new doctor, i'm working on getting into a new one now. Yeah i am changing my dose myself with current doctor, but i should have a doc that will work with me, and you should have one that will work with you, they are out there.

Bump
Still trying to find where this falls in the range
http://www.issam.ch/freetesto.htm
Using that calculator I get the above results for my free T with a percentage of 2.66
Bioavailable is 209 ng/dL and 74.8 %
I've been looking for ranges but they all vary. Can anyone help?
