thanks! whats your body fat %? approximate will do. read Kel's thread "Finding a Physician" to give you an idea what blood work you need. did your doc include a complete thyroid panel?

    Approximate bf% is 20-23%

I will email him and ask him. He told me my thyroid was fine, but you're absolutely right I don't see anything thyroid related there.

Check that sticky like Bass said and fill in the blanks. Be sure you get free T and bio T if possible, shbg and vit D and DHT if your doing transdermals. I'm assuming the BW above is pre-TRT, right? Do you have LH/FSH levels pre-TRT? Like the knowledgeable member above said tsh is good but it's a weak indicator. Need to see more. Also, if you don't mind, spread those ranges out a bit so the guys can read them easier. Thanks!

Kelkel, I am getting cypionate injections weekly right now. All labs above are pre-TRT taken the day I started, as well as BW and BF%

I will ask him about the other tests.

    Thanks everyone.

Well got the labs back from Tuesday's appointment.

    Test, serum 537 348-1197
    Estradiol 53.6 7.6-42.6

So he stated that my Test is more than likely around 700 as the labs were taken on day 8 since my last injection. I have also been on half a dose of Arimidex for 3 weeks. I took the last dose on Wednesday.

He said he will up the Cypionate slightly to see what that does.

Alright, had my appointment this morning, and he put me on HCG . 5000 IU. 2 injections per week, 25mg per injection, I think. The nurse did a 50mg injection to show me what to do and to jump start everything.

What should I expect coming out of this?

Well, you should expect an increase in subjective well being as well as feeling physically more vigorous. Of course, it might take a while.

It sounds like your doctor is doing a good job. Your high e2 was addressed, he is willing to bring up the T level, and the fact they are willing to use HCG is not that common, but could be good for you.

How are you feeling compared to before you were on TRT?

I am feeling better in the recovery from my workouts. I have hit personal records in every lift over the last two weeks.

Libidio is up, but I feel it cycling up and down right now. Erections are harder and they come easier. I have a feeling the up and down comes from when my body metabolizes the T towards the end of the week.

The doc said it seems that my body metabolizes T fast, which is why we upped the dosage.

Other than that I don't feel any huge changes, but I expect some bigger changes as we raise the T level more and start the HCG regimen.

Iceman glad your doing well. Agree that you doc seems with-it compared to so many. Develope that relationship and be honest with him. Trust can go far with the correct doctor.

Did I miss it but what exactly is your protocol? How much, how often? If you're a fast metabolizer you may benefit by cutting your weekly (if that's what it is) dosage in half and injecting every 3.5 days. Such as Monday morning and Thursday evening. Works well for a lot of us. Bumping up the T and adding hcg at the same time can lead to a larger than expected increase in T and all that follows. Keep an eye on it. Get tested in another month if possible for the basics.

I am not 100% sure what my current dosage is. I think 250 every week on Monday, 1 half pill of Arimidex the day after (I think it's 5mg), and 15ml of HCG 2x a week. I haven't brought up self injecting yet. I want to establish the relationship with him before I do. I am self injecting the HCG so that is a plus in my corner.

He's in a new office so I am assuming that he will resist me self injecting the T as his patient numbers are low, but growing. But we'll see.

As good as the doc is, if his reason for not letting me self inject is to pad his bottom line... I would have a problem with that. But that's just me, and I don't care if a doctor needs to pay off his new office faster!
