    Am i just paranoid?

After going back and forth with my doc and me telling him i wanted injections because i have a two month old baby. I took the 1.62% gel. The novel that comes in the box clearly says keep away from children. If you notice signs of early puberty or aggression stop immediately (in children). The baby has no signs of that but i just dont feel the need to chance it if there are different ways to treat LOW T. What should i tell my doc i want to switch too and how much. HCG is going to have to be taken with injections i know that. What about an AI?

It really shouldn't be a debate with the doctor. If you want injections, you should be able to get them, end of story. Does the doc have some resistance to this?

HCG should be taken with any form of exogenous therapy if you're secondary.

AI?? Depends on your E2. Is your E2 out of range?

Sounds like you really need to get to reading if you want to be a well-informed patient.

First of all, if your doctor is steadfast against injections then he probably is not knowledgable enough with regard to male TRT to be treating you... or probably anyone.

Secondly, HCG is by no means necessary. Neither is an AI. And both of these are independent of the type of testosterone you use. It doesn't mean they can't effect you in slightly different ways though.

Did you stress these points to your doctor? Tell your doctor, don't ask your doctor, its a reasonable and viable request and in my opinion responsible.

Read the stickies in this section and arm yourself with information and be proactive with him. He works for you....
No reason to not have injections to protect your family from possible contamination due to physical contact.

Not paranoid at all. However using the gel around your baby will probably make you very paranoid. You'll always be worried about cross contamination. I was started on gels too, and although my children are all older, I was still concerned with it. Tell your doc to go to injections or get a new doc.

Agree, hCG and an AI is by no means necessary just like Testosterone Replacement Therapy is not necessary.

That being said, read the stickies on why you need hCG and why AI therapy is critical in the management of elevated E2 which happens in many men on injectable TRT protocols.

Definitive statements like this concern me on these boards.

There is nothing wrong with the statement though and I am sure many men on TRT do not take either. I imagine most men do not take an AI and even fewer take HCG...

Now, if someone does all the right things in TRT to minimize aromatization and they still have high e2, then go for it. But nobody knows this right off the get go.
