Woops.... Arimidex OD

Well, not paying attention this morning... I accidentally took a 1 mg tab of Arimidex instead of my hydrochlorothiazide (water pills). My last round of blood work showed my Estradiol pretty high (51 out of 54) so the doc put my on 1 mg per week of Arimidex. Historically I took half a tab (one tab = 1mg) on shot day. Doc upped me to .5 mg twice per week and this morning not paying attention... I took a 1 mg tab of Arimidex instead of my water pills. Granted... its not going to kill me.... BUT..... wondering what to expect..... thoughts? <I color coded the bottles to prevent this from happening again and also chopped the pills in half with the pill cutter to make sure>

I'm on 240 of Test a week by the way, one shot on Mondays.

Not a huge deal but that much will kill your estro for 72 hrs! I would skip a dose and get back on schedule except IMO the .5mg is too much even. I would only use .25mg every week for a trt. Start with that and adjust from there. Get regular blood work!

I was taking .5 mg once a week and my E level came back at 51 (which is why he increased it to .5 twice a week). I get blood work every month and get my injections weekly at the docs office (on Monday's). I have a script and doc will let me inject myself at home however the doc is a block from my house so its not a big deal to go there once a week and I don't get charged anything more to go there. They do BP, O2, etc. testing every week and blood on my 4th injection of every month.

I'm confused on EOD.... Arimidex has a 3 day half-life no? YMMV apparently.

As far as today's 1 MG this morning... I actually feel better (more energy and libido) this evening than usual.... go figure.

Oh and BTW... since blood work day and shot day are the same.... my levels will obviously be at their lowest point for the week when blood is taken. Kinda scary with E being 3 points off the chart a week after injection.

Yes adex half life is 3 days or 72 hrs so it would be better to split the dose into 2x week. Everyone is different though so its only a baseline place to start amd you will have to fine tune yourself! Good luck!

I wouldn't expect anything really. Just skip the next dose so your weekly is still the same amount and you'll be fine.

If you took 1mg for a couple weeks then you'd probably get side effects, but that would probably be intentional.
