Hrt Dr???
I am considering getting checked to see if I need HRT. I have read quite a bit on here and really still feel kinda lost. My question is does anyone have a HrT Dr they reccomend in the St Pete Fla area? I just dont want someine to tell me I need this when I dont. Kind of scarry after all the things I have read. I didnt even know that HRT is for life until researching this forum. Thanks for all the info you guys have posted on here.

To be quite frank, only you can tell you if you need it or not. Even an expert isn't likely to say you NEED it. Maybe they can tell you its helped other people like you... or it is associated with improving symptoms you have. But really, whether or not you want to go on TRT is up to you.
Id say get blood work, read for a few weeks, and then consider taking the next step. Off the top of my head I know nobody in that area, but Florida is probably the best place to be for a guy with low testosterone lol.

There are a number of well respected TRT Physicians between you and Fort Myers.
Google "Anti Aging Medicine Tampa Florida" and see what you get.
If you don't mind a drive, there are few of the top TRT Doc's in the country right here in Broward County that you only need to see once a year.
Use the links in Finding a TRT Doc in the sticky as noted.
Let me know if you need a referral.

Thanks guys. May hit you up for the referral Gdevine. I may just go get some bw done and see what #s look like before I IM you. There is so much info on this its kinda hard to grasp it all. Kinda like eating a elephant.

There is a lot of info out there!
If I was advising a friend, I would tell them to avoid exercising for a few days, then get an early morning hormonal blood panel done. If it's low-normal or less, then bother yourself to read more about HRT. But if its mid-normal or better, then just look at things to optimize your nutrition and health, but don't worry about TRT.
Symptoms, of course, are what really counts, but there is a lot of overlap with testosterone and pretty much any disease you can think of.

Thanks HRTStudent I have been reading up on it for a couple of weeks now. Definately gonna keep researching before I jump into something so serious. Although 6 mos ago I prob would have just signed right up if it wasn't for this forum.

It is tempting because we, as humans, have a tendency to selectively read what we wish to confirm. We inherently place more weight on it.
But also, the people who stay on TRT and, most logically, benefit from TRT are the ones who continue to post on forums like this. However, there are plenty of people who go on TRT and for whatever reason decide to come off. They aren't likely to continue posting, of course, other than a good bye most likely. This further skews the pool of information when people read forums for their info.
I try my best to get a mix of information from forums, medical texts, expert articles, and videos/lectures. If I only did one or two of these I would have missed too much...

Good point on info on forum. Kinda like watching only 1 channel for political info. I am gonna try to get some bw done in the next coup weeks. Would I be ok to get that done at GP or will they test for everything listed? I am due for a physical I think its been @2yrs since late one. Or should I just go to a HRT Dr. directly?
