Would like our members opinion on our HRT web name.

As many of you know we are well on our way to opening an HRT clinic here in Houston and will cater to clients all over the country. With that said, we are trying to get some feed back on our web domain name. Do you guys think HormoneReplacementTherapy.com is too long of a name? I did at first, but its fairly hard to misspell and its pretty damn hard to forget when we start our advertisements.

Any thoughts on this as our web name?

We also were kicking around using LowTestosterone.com, but we don't want to back ourselves into a corner and only be known for Testosterone Treatment. We would like to deal in all aspects of HRT as well as taking care of women. I think we can use that web domain for other things. I guess I am bringing that up only to see if there are any thoughts or opinions on that idea while I have the questions out there.

I understand your input, but we are not hip on buying more domains, unless the right ones come along and we have our lines out on that now. These things are not easy to come by and we are doing our best lol

Hormone replacement therapy.com is going to take a hell of a lot of google hits....

It's long but it is what it is.... If that's what people are after they are going to google it and that is a bloody strong domain name....

HRT .com sounds great, could be long but the fact is... who types in a URL directly anymore? People search and click for the most part. LowT .com could be a mirror or a redirect. I think you've got gold in your hands with these domains.

Weighting domain names with search engine optimization can mean the difference to a good site search placement and saving big money on paying to have it sponsored or other ways of ranking it in the top 5..

Agree with this so far. But a shorter version that re-directs would be great as well.

HormoneReplacementTherapy .com is going to be very valuable to to you in terms of search rankings. You can utilize LowTestosterone .com as a redirect or microsite/landing page which I would recommend to a client for SEO purposes for the search term itself. Not having it as the main domain name is a good idea though, you want those people looking for help with low t, without dissuading the rest of your target market. The domains are not quite as vital for local search optimization, but there's lots of things that can be done in the page construction to get higher rankings for 'hormone replacement Houston' and the like.

if HormoneReplacementTherapy.com is available...Id grab it..quicky!! Those are the buzz words and the most google'd terms so your hits will be through the roof and you could make money back from hits alone.

I will say it sounds a little generic and could seem like a scam so it may put off some people searching. Your webpage just needs to be on point, with a lot of factual info, and not sound like an infomercial. Basically the same way this forum applies to all parties, your business and webpage will need to reflect that as well. I for one really like this forum because I was searching for help to an actual problem in my life, not just to boot some roids in a legal manner, and this forum is about health first and reaping the rewards after you are properly dialed in. I think if you do that you will have a booming business.

Even though a little long, it should be a winner as already stated. Another domain that could possibly compliment your first choice might be hormonewellness.com ... Short, descriptive, and demographically versatile (not to mention, available).

IMO the domain name is great. I'm surprised it was available. If you think about it, how many people actually type out a domain name these days? Not many I'd say & the people that have a problem with it arent your target audience anyways...

i think other posters pointing out how nobody types in a domain name, they do a search and then click through, are spot on.

We do own HormoneReplacementTherapy.com and LowTestosterone.com (just to clear the water). BTW, it was NOT available, but we made an offer to the owner and bought it (both domains were purchased from two different parties)

I plan on coming up with a name for the company, but this issue is focused on if the domain name is too long or if it is easy to remember and the length is not an issue. Getting great feed back, so please keep it up guys. I really appreciate some of your comments greatly

Something we have talked about internally. When this website was called "AnabolicReview.com" and we didnt have these premium domain names, the site was quickly growing to be the largest steroid website in the world and the domain name wasn't an issue. People simply came to know AnabolicReview.com as the go to site for this information. When you have a traffic generator like steroid.com for example, I may be not as big of a deal as we think as to what the name of the site is, as long as its easy to remember and understand. Look at all the weird domain sites out there right now. The name becomes "normal" once it is marketed.

I thought the same thing about key word domain names, but Google is doing a lot of changes with their algo's. Look at LowTestosterone.com. We have a TON of content and targeted key words and recently the Search rank dropped from the middle of the first page to page 10 or something. Also, almost ALL of our drug name domains such as: TestosteroneCypionate.com, TestosteroneEnanthate.com, Anvar.com, Winstrol .com, Dianabol .com, etc... They went from top 4 on first page down to the 5th - 10th pages. Google is putting a LOT of stock in domains that have content that has been around a long time as well as some other key factors. Domains are good to have the key word or phrase, but NOT as important as it used to be. With that said, I have never been a big believer in get rich quick, so the way I look at it is: In time, they will be very powerful. So we just keep updating content and keeping the websites up to date. Just a little bit of insight on these premium domains

people don't mispell domains any more really. like 90% of people or something crazy uses google. And if you misspell on google then they fix it anyways. I think its a pretty good domain... but I would think it has/had a decent price tag too! I couldn't think of anything more appropriate though and it would be good for pagerank.

I much prefer it to low testosterone ...

didn't read the replies but just wanted to respond to your post. for me being a man i searched for Testosterone Replacement Therapy, them Hormone Replacement Therapy. having a good amount of knowledge for setting up domains and websites i always like to use complete words for the domain as you have posted, this way when people search for "Hormone Replacement Therapy" or "Testosterone Replacement Therapy" yours will popup first! then you can setup other domains like Hormones for Women, Hormones for Men (i know these maybe taken but you can use your imagination) then have them point to your main website. but the bottom line is yes use the full words, they'll find you faster.

Bass we do own it and The name HormoneReplacementTherapy.com sounds like the winner!

We will do everything in our power to take insurance. Although we are having this conversation on Steroid .com forums, this business will be the real deal. No short cuts and no half assed compliance set ups. 100% full on respectable clinic. If you are a candidate for HRT, we will do our best to make sure you have the best care possible... from the first phone call to doctor access 5 years after you start treatment.

I am going to do my best and I have a lot of great people behind the scenes making sure this is done right. Exciting doesnt begin to describe it!

I will keep you all posted, but it sounds like HormoneReplacementTherapy.com is going to be the site and it will be a "full on" education website a lot like Steroid.com is, however it will give access to our medical staff. We want to be a clearing house of information on this subject and plan on providing everything we can to our web visitors.
