New here from Nashville! Awesome forum guys n gals!
Hey guys, I just thought I'd introduce myself and give my appreciation for the vast knowledge on this board. I am all but convinced that I am suffering from Low Test. I just had my blood drawn this morning, so I will be going back Wednesday to get results and talk to the doctor.
I am so excited to begin my journey back to being my normal self again. I KNOW my wife is eagerly awaiting this as well. I am very happy to have found a forum like this in which I can ask advice along the way and also post my results and experiences so we can all maybe learn a little from it.

Welcome!
When you say you got your blood tested did you get all the labs recommended in the sticky at the top of the forum in Finding a TRT Doc?
Post your BW with ranges in this thread when you get them.
In the mean time tell us more about you, your health, history...

Well, I'm 32 and am a fitness fanatic except for the past couple years. I have always been a competitive athlete and person in general. For the past few years, my sex drive has been zero. I'm fatigued, lost a lot of lean mass, and just don't have a zeal for the normal things like I used to. I never get random wood, or morning wood. I can't even make myself have an orgasm.
Now i am on suboxone as a result of getting hooked on painkillers and I am pretty sure that is what has caused my issues. I've been researching and found that it has been shown to drastically affect test levels in many people. I know I will at least be on it for another year or so as I try to ween off. I've also seen many posts about guys with similar situations that ended up getting on HRT and off suboxone a lot quicker than anticipated bc their sense of well being and overall self came back and it put them in a mental place that was much more ready get off the subs.
With that said, I do want kids and will want to see if I can try to restart my own system after I'm off suboxone. I have read of many people being successful and extremely happy with this. I just know I can't stand not having that strong extroverted personality I always had before this. My wife is TRYING to be understanding about the sex. I tell her it has nothing to do with her, but you know I'm sure how hard of a pill that is to swallow.
Anyways, I feel like I've rambled on too long lol. I love this forum. I want my sex life, my motivation, my strong mind and body, and my oftentimes cocky loudmouthed self Back haha. Not too cocky, more just self assured. I've competed in powerlifting and done some fitness modeling as well and just love learning about fitness. My degree was in exercise science from UNC. Thanks for letting me ramble. Just letting you guys know a bit about myself.

no rambling is allowed here, and you did not ramble! welcome here Tenn, you are in good hands. heads up, there is no magic pill here, TRT is great if administered properly and for the right reason. don't expect to see fire works in a first week, month or even 6 months, it takes allot of tuning until you get to the point where its working good for you, and remember more is not better, so make sure you don't get loaded with drugs and expect to look and feel like the hulk. all of us here are on TRT and most of us show our selves in our avatars, we look like normal people, well maybe a little more, but whats important for us first and foremost is health. before you get on any protocol give us the chance to take a look at your BW to analyze whats going on and make recommendations, i just hope you have a good doc, if not we'll help you find one. like GD mentioned make sure you do the proper BW.

Thanks for the replies guys. I definitely dont expect it to be like a snap to get back in order. I am just eager to get the process going. I also hope my doc knows his stuff and isn't a strictly by the numbers guy. Everyone has a different "normal", ya know? I also hope he will be open to using hcg and a-dex along with the test to keep everything balanced out. I'm looking more for HRT than TRT, so to speak. In college I did do a small Tren /test prop cycle, so the shot frequency will be no problem for me. Those were freaking every day shots. I would like to stay as level as possible with 2 shots of cyp and 2 or 3 shots of hcg a week.

Yeah I definitely did PCT. I researched and contemplated for two years before I would pull the trigger on juice. I also had been lifting and training seriously for 8 years prior and was about 200lbs and 6% BF at 5'9" when I started it. I had everything pretty well in check.

Those were my stats before I started taking suboxone, which lowered my test. I can't hold lean mass like I have always been able to. It's ridiculous. I've lost about 25lbs or so of muscle over the past few years. Plus all the other crap having low test does. I'm still lean but strength and lean mass have definitely been affected. But honestly those are not my biggest concern. My libido is absolutely in the dirt which is so far from normal for me. It's just killing me, and my wife

I am so anxious to see my lab results in a couple days. I want to know what is really going on with me. I will be posting them of course, as well as my docs evaluation of it. I figure it'll either be awesome that he is new age and up on hormone balancing, or it will be comical at how not "in the know" he is and how ridiculous his prognosis is. Hopefully the former

Hey Tenn and welcome.
These guys on here are full of great advice so enjoy the feedback!
As you know and others will tell you opiates are a T killer. IMO it takes a great deal of time to bounce back after their use. I had some major surgeries (with pain meds attached) that crushed my T but it wasn't until I got BW that I saw how bad it was.
Good luck with getting back to better!

Any recommendations for Nashville area docs? My level is 200s and I'm being told I'm normal. I'm 30 so not agreeing.
