So the doctor just wants to wait things out and get another testosterone test in a couple weeks (only test, no FSH, LH, etc). The nurse told me he didn't mention anything about the high FSH level. He also said I should get another semen analysis done in about another month which would be 3 1/2 months since last injection. The SA will really be the determining factor of how things are going.

I did one of those home semen analysis tests and it tested positive for sperm. Supposedly these have very high accuracy rates so I'm hopeful. The test doesn't give any indication to the count, only that it is above 350,000. Going for the real test in about a month, but was getting impatient.

Finally got a chance for another semen analysis. This was done around 3.5 months after the last injection. To my surprise it came back at over 50 million. The minimum threshold to be considered fertile is around 15 to 20 million. Testosterone came back at around 190 again so I am starting the Clomid for the time being.

Congrats on getting the count back up. I will be 30 next week and my wife and I are trying to have our first child. Almost 2 years now and we had one miscarriages about 10 months ago. Dr. Blamed it on stress??? Anyway I had a semen analysis about 6 months ago and I was told every thing was fine didn't get an exact number though.
started TRT 6 weeks ago after finding out my test level was 50 free test 1.4. The anti aging doc has me on 200mg\ml a week anastrozole, hcg and clomid 25mg daily. She led me to believe the hcg and clomid will keep me from becoming infertile. I'm honestly scared that I won't be able to get my wife prego.
I'm setting up an appt. with an endo to get a second opinion and check my sperm out. I've got a feeling he will say get off the test and let's try to restRt but with a test level of 50 I don't see a restart I. My future. I'm totally fine with bein on test for the rest of my life but Im not fine with never having a child. I'm looking forward to the endos outlook on my situation.
I wish u the very best of luck brother, glad to hear things are looki ng good for you and your wife.

Clomid and hcg together should be fine and will increase your fertility and test levels. I would consider dropping the test, you can always resume it if you're not getting the results u want with hcg and clomid. Bc the test will definitely cause suppression of the HPTA. To what extent is variable, especially if you're on hcg and clomid but it will be suppressive nonetheless

Thanks for the good words. Sorry to hear about the miscarriage... that's gotta be tough to deal with. I would definitely listen to the guys here who have a hell of a lot of knowledge about the subject. Like AnabolicDoc says I would be careful with the test. If you stay on it you should get semen analysis' done regularly to make sure it's not slowing sperm production down.

Since you are taking Clomid now that should boost your T levels and sperm count. I would ask the doc for some HCG as well. How much did that home sperm count thing cost?

$40 at Walgreens. If you have medical insurance most would only pay a copay for an exact semen analysis. But year at least give u a yes or no answer in the convince of your own home
