Tomarrow is my first appointment ! Hooray

It's been a long time coming for this day, but I am sure excited.I have felt so worn out for so long, I'm just pumped that I'm seeing a Dr. with a great reputation. Thanks to you guys at this forum, I have learned a ton and feel that I am prepared to ask all the right questions and finally get started on feeling good again.[ Old but good,49 in 2 weeks]Wish me luck !

    Hey guys ,
visit went well today and he wants to diagnose the cause first instead of just treating it. We will be doing some more bloodwork including,FSH, LH, prolactin,E2 sensitive, total and free test.He said we would work from there. All the tests that he wants to do were mentioned to me by Kel over a month ago,big props Kel.I am planning on getting the bw done tomarrow morning at Labcorp. He seems to want to treat me with gel and pellets before injections, but I assume its up to me in the long run. Thanks for the support guys

He will let you choose. Like I said in my pm, examine your lifestyle and talk it over with your family. Convenience plays into it. I have friends who are happy on all of the treatments mentioned. Remember, you can always change treatment style. He will work with you and is a very competent, concerned doc. I assume you felt good with him?

    Congrats Tripper!

yes , I was very comfortable. It's refressing when a Dr. actually listens to the patient. When you start gels, do you start hcg also and an ai or is it after the first follow up blood work ?

Gels are just a different form of testosterone delivery and will shut down your HPTA but IMO, one change at a time. It all depends on the BW you will soon get.

Great to hear you are set up with a good doc!

Totally agree with Kel about looking at lifestyle and diet - those are as important as TRT.

    Estradiol looks good.
    Test is low.
Now it's time to see why it's low. Thyroid or other issues. If he/you can get it up to normal without Test injections or gel that would be great. If not then it all depends on you and your lifestyle.
If you have kids/wife I would not use gel due to 2nd hand exposure. A lot of people dont do well on gels also but with any TRT there is more to it than just rubbing some gel on or injecting testosterone . Still all in all it's worth the benefits.

They are starting with test cyp. injections only until first blood work. The Dr's nurse is actually doing it. When I asked her about hcg , she told me most of their patients dont need it. I asked if I experience pain during shrinkage faze, she said I should call if I have any discomfort. No A.I. initially until blood work gets reviewed and if it shows that I need it. They are starting off with one thing at a time and monitoring from there. Thanks for the concern G.
