Urologist had some interesting views on Testosterone...
Hey, so after getting 3 bad semen samples, my urlogist told me that he reccomends doing a variocelectomy to correct my slight infertility, and future infertility. He said that varioceles can become progressively worse over time and that if i dont take action soon i might not be able to have kids in the future.
A member on here told me about the embolization and reccomended that, but my urologist said that the variocelectomy would be a better choice because it has a smaller chance of reoccurence. I asked about whether this surgery will help improve my testosterone and he said maybe, but it's not for sure. Also that i shouldn't focus too much on testosterone because i have higher levels than a lot of people that come to him. My level is around 450-500 ng, and he says a lot of people my age (25) come in with testosterone around 250-300, which i thought was pretty shocking because i've read a lot about how that is very low. He said that i shouldn't focus too much on testosterone because if i'm not really low, adding more T wouldn't really make that much a difference.
So anyways, i dont really believe everything he said, especially the part of more T not making a difference, so who on here has had a variocelectomy or embolization and had great results from them and would like to share there story?
I posted my basic story in an older thread titled "dr says i'm too young for trt" , i'd link to it but i'm still a relatively new member and can't post links yet.
Cliffs : grade 3 varioceles, bad sperm tests, no libido, weak erections, T level 460ng, dr reccomends surgery

If you don't trust him then go to a new doctor. You'll always second guess yourself at this point if you go through with it...
If someone's wrong about 1 thing, id bet theyll be wrong about another...
