Is it ever too late to start hCG?

    Hi all,

I think I may be able to finally convince a doc to give me hCG within less than a month (my next visit). Some background: I started TRT June 1st 2012 (just under 11 months ago) with pellets and then started self-pokes last September at 100 mg 1x week. All the while my (old) doc refused to even consider hCG. Sure, I can self-administer via Internet pharmacy, but I really want to be under the care of a doc that at least somewhat understands what is going on in lieu of using the almighty Internet as my physician. I'll be visiting my new doc again soon (who may end up being a quack... if so, I'll be headed off to LowT.com, but I'm going to give the new doc a fair shake here first), and I know he is open to hCG.

So my question is this... it would be nice to get the family jewels to quit hugging my lower esophagus, but that is actually secondary as I'm looking more for the health effects of hCG than the action in the coconuts. Does anyone know if hCG will have an effect this late in the game?

    Thanks!

Never too late unless the testes turned into scar tissue...and worst case that can happen.

    You should be okay.

Print out the sticky and also Google Dr. Crisler's paper on HCG and take both with you when you see your Doctor.

Most drug package inserts for HCG now say it can be used for Hypogonadism.

The reality is, nobody can tell you for sure what will happen to you.

But try this on for size... most healthy men will regain their normal testosterone production upon cessation of TRT. This can happen after 11 months (such as your case) or 2 years or even 11 years. So, that should offer some insight into the fact that your TRT is unlikely to be doing any sort of permanent damage to your ability to produce testosterone. There's never a guarantee in medicine, but I would certainly bet that there is no "point of no return" where HCG would have no effect on an otherwise healthy man.

Of course, if you were on TRT for 50 years and now you're 80 years old then it is very reasonable to think your body has aged and things simply won't work as they used to due to normal aging. In that case, one's response to an LH analog might very well be nil. The plus side would be that you just continue with the TRT lol.

Just out of curiosity, does TRT turn testes into scar tissue?

Found out my old old GP does hCG , and he is right down the street. My balls are starting to get a dull ache... I have an appointment on Monday and am going to push for hCG ASAP.

The only thing it has ever done for me is re-size the boys. I have never felt the other benifits others speak of. I am primary. But bigger is better so.......
