Triclosan and Testosterone lowerer ?
So i've recently been diagnosed with Low T and i've been lurking on this forum for quite awhile. I've read most stickies and love to read the knowledgeable advice from many members on the forums.
Anyway, so I was reading the news today (I cannot post the link) and came across an article titled "Decades-old question: Is antibacterial soap safe?" which is an article about the use of an antibacterial agent called triclosan and the FDA reviewing the safety of it in consumer products mainly soap. In the article, there have been studies that show that the use of triclosan has interefered and reduce testosterone level in rats.
Anyway, I really havent used antibacterial soap, so I thought it didnt apply to me, but low and behold, its a common ingrediate in my toothpaste that I have been using for many years. I wonder if there is some correlation. In any event, i'm switching toothpastes just for the hell of it and will wait to what becomes of the FDA's report.
The article "Decades-old question: Is antibacterial soap safe?" seems to be reported on a number of different news feeds.

Yeah, I just seen the local news mention this. They specifically mentioned "hormonal levels" in rats. Better to stick with alcohol based sanitizers. I wonder if the FDA will require that human clinical studies be performed? You'd be a moron to sign-up for that study lols...
