New to site and TRT
Hi everyone
I'm 32 years old, 6'1" , 206 lbs, 13% BF
Just want to introduce myself
I'm 2yrs sober and have been training for about the same. I like to think im "born again"! Recently went to doctor, due to the fact that even being 100% clean and sober for 2 years and I feel like shit! Absolutely zero energy, lethargic, zero sex drive(libido), super emotional (mostly sad and irritated). I had only 4 basic test ran (that I read from this site) that were crucial to have some idea of where my levels stood. Besides me being low but "in range" level - my estrogen was super high! Like off the charts high!
After obviously being concerned I decided to go to some professionals for further evaluation. This clinic I have just started had me donate 7 or 8 vials of blood! The results are still out and are supposed to be back in 10 days from being drawn. This took place last Monday so I'm hoping to hear something this next week!
I'm both excited and nervous to hear the results. I'm excited to see if there is a way to make me feel better. To feel like I'm alive. To have energy and drive. I'm am also nervous of obviously getting back some bad news. Something terminal or what have you. Trust me guys...I know what it feels like to feel like shit as I did it for nearly 15 yrs! My doctor and I are thinking that the years of using opiates has taking its toll! Apparently long term use of pain killers can wreck havoc on ones Endo system! Who knew?
Anyhow, I'm not declaring myself a victim be ANY means as I have the opportunity to change all that! Man I'm pumped! Kinda. Lol
Not sure if I am allowed to paste the name of the clinic or the doctor that is treating me. As I would like to hear of any reviews one may have. Also, not sure of any treatment plan as of yet. Not even sure what we are treating! All I do know is something ain't right.
Well that's enough ranting "for now". Wish me luck and hope this all works out.

Thanks bro! Btw...I like your screen name! Clever! Plus man I just ended it with my girl after almost 2 yrs. so my mind is in OVER DRIVE! A lot is changing g in my life (2 yrs sobriety, TRT/HRT, and a break up) so yeah, I'm most certainly ready for some changes!
Btw. What is the difference in TRT vs HRT? Is it just the fact one is strictly test?

Thanks guys! Not sure where to post...so I've posted in both TRT and New Male threads. Should I continue in the "New Member" thread or here?
Hey fellas...as stated in my intro, I plan to get results back this week! I will post results and hope to have my docs plan of attack ready to post as well.
Btw...I'm gonna go ahead and dive right in with a personal question. Tonight I went out with a lady friend and went back to her place...one thing lead to another and we were in "the act". All went well with BUT never reached climax...well after consoling with her that it wasn't her I began to have some severe pain in the testicles. Feel swollen and SHARP pain!
Question. Lol! Is low t and high estrogen a culprit to being unable to reach climax? I'm sure the swelling and pain was due to the good ole' "blue balls". I'm sure this is a stupid question but just need to understand why this happens.
Thanks in advance (play nice as this is an embarrassing question)[/QUOTE]

First of all great job on being sober for 2 years. Opioids along with statins and SSRI's can really lower testosterone dramatically. Long term opioid use can hinder the lutinizing hormone signal from the brain to testicles to make testosterone. Important nurotransmitters (Seritonin and Dopamine) can also plunder due to long term opioid use. Your symptoms you are having could mean both. The good news is with the right wel trained physician there are protocols to replenish both to optimal levels. When you get your labs please post on here along with your physicians treatment protocol and I will chime in. HRT is the same as TRT. H=Hormone T=Testosterone. TRT is a phrase that refers to only testosterone replacement therapy under the umbrella of HRT. There are tons of testosterone receptors in the brain. Flooding these channels give a tremendous boost in dopamine, vasopresson, nitric oxide, and a few other chemicals that is imperative for libedo, erectile function and mental well-being. Good news is there is hope and I have treated and have trained doctors that own pain management practices to treat cases just like yours with great success. Were here to help.
