Sounds good & good to see you're feeling good! Have you had bloodwork done since being at 100mg a week?

I would suggest prolactin levels are the issue..

there are a few of us that with elevated test our libido goes down, i'm one of the caber fixes the issue for me... no your doc will probably not prescribe it for you..

and did you really "for the record" tell your va doc you are depressed??

you don't own any guns do you? i mean registered in your name?? if you do i'd get them transferred to a family member..

I just saw my endo this morning. Last week I had my blood drawn at 100mg a week test cyp. My total test is 826 and free is 98. All other tests were within range. I'm feeling good at this dose, so I'll be stockpiling the rest of the test cyp to do a cycle later on. I'm also down on weight, 202lbs. I feel much stronger at the gym, I can lift much more weight than when I started lifting 8 months ago. My goal is to get to about 175lbs. I'm only 5'8", and I'm still too fat, but slowly I'm getting to my goal.

I got great news from my endo at the VA today. He asked me how the tamoxifen was working and I told him I hadn't noticed any changes yet. He said if it was going to work it should have worked by now for gyno, so he ordered a mammogram for me along with a referral to a surgeon. He said even if its only a cosmetic surgery if it's affecting me so much they will do the surgery. Have any of you had surgery to reduce man boobs? How painful is it and how long is recovery? What kind of scars does it leave? I've told other doctors about how gyno has affected me but they all just seemed to blow it off. My endo is the first doctor to really listen and seems to care. Wish me luck!

E5charlie i dont understand why no one has told you this. Tamoxifen is not an AI, it is a serm. If you still have high estrogen levels you need to take an AI or your gyno will come back after your surgery!

I know tamoxifen is a serm. The doc said if after surgery I start noticing gyno again we can start an AI right away.

It looks like the VA will do the gyno surgery. I have another appointment with the plastic surgeon on April 9th to schedule the surgery date. I can't wait! Anyone here have experience with gyno surgery? Is it painful? How effective is it?

Just got my gyno surgery today. My chest is so hairy that it covered a lot. The doctor shaved me and I was shocked at how big and pointy my boobies actually looked. Since it's considered not medically necessary and just for appearance the doctor fought hard to get it approved, but he finally got it done. I'm so appreciative of our country's VA medical facilities. And thank you to all American tax payers. I'm all wrapped up with ACE bandages so I won't actually be able to see how it turned out until my follow up appointment next Wednesday when they're removed. Wish me luck!
