Hair thinning out

I know this thread is a little premature however I am looking for some feedback from others. I went to the barber to have him shave my head down short and he suggested it might look bad with my hair thinning out in the back and I was like wtf are you talking about. Put the mirror up and my stomach dropped.

There is absolutely zero baldness in my family. Everyone is gray but full heads of hair into their 80's.

So I obviously know its the test because my hair was thick as a weed before I started. I had labs done and estrogen was fine and I just had labs again and had dht tested. Waiting for the results

Pending results how can I combat the thinning of my hair?

Are you taking injections or gel?

A lot of this stuff is just genetic and skipped over a generation. HRT did the exact opposite to me, and I started seeing hair start to grow in uncommon places.

this is the biggest thing that worries me about increasing my test. as i am now, ill never go bald.

Injection and I am 100000% positive its not genetics. There are a ton of drunks and we go gray way to early but there is NOT ONE PERSON losing their hair in my family.

I threw in mast a couple of weeks ago but this is def not a 2 week thing. Its def thinnning. I mean if you looked at me you would probably think I am crazy saying its thinning.

I am not going to lie. I am a pretty ****ing vain and losing my hair would kill me. PLus I have wrinkle on the top of my head lol

Same here the injections are thinning my hair also and it's not genetics.. I get a frohawk that is short and don't look bad even tho my hair is really thin... Plain is getting swole like the rock so I shave it all off!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND FINESTRIDE OR DIRESTRIDE. These compounds wreak havoc on your endocrine system. There is a Yahoo forum of men who have used these products and now have such horrible endocrine pathology that even a few of them have commited suicide. DO NOT USE THESE PRODUCTS. To protect the prostate from DHT. Use a Prostate restore product. Saw palmetto, beta systerol, pegyum bark, needle root, ect. These do work if you go with a good brand that is USP or GMP approved.

When it comes to hair loss. Abraham Mortengaler--Studies support DHT conversion while on treatment does not aggravate male pattern baldness (MPB). When a man becomes andropausal all the DHT he needs to aggravate MPB is present. Having more DHT once on treatment won’t change or advance this. Studies show that there is not an increase in MPB in placebo vs. testosterone therapy groups.

However if a teenager who is not andropausal and has the MPB gene does a cycle of steriods it is very possible for his MPB to kick in sooner than later. He is not andropausal yet.

Talk to a compounding pharamacy. They use a product that you can apply transdermally like shampoo. I want to say it responds to aplha channel receptors and contains an active ingrident that is in direstride without the endo complications.

This is the only thing holding me back from Testosterone supplements. My T level is pretty low (3.28 ng/ml with a lab normal range of 2.6-11) so I would only be aiming to get it up to around 6 ng/ml, nothing crazy. LowT's post gives me hope but I'd like to see the studies for myself before taking the plunge.

What kind of T levels are you guys at who are suffering from hair loss?

i think it's not only about t levels but also conversion to dht...genetics for baldness..etc. I agree low t mikes studies are encouraging. I have the fullest head of hair you can imagine, and my dad at nearly 57 has his hair, although his hairline isnt as good as mine..and unlike me he is hairy....i fear that i will get male pattern baldness

I used anavar for 4 weeks in January and for 6 weeks last summer. Two weeks into mast. I have been on trt since August but for 3 months prior to committing to trt I used 500mgs of test. Otherwise its been a decade since I have used anything else

Not to go too generic here, but have you tried Rogaine foam? It takes a few months to kick in (during which you can lose a bit more hair before you start getting some back). I also use ketoconazole periodically which I have heard helps. I had to get a Rx for it from my dermatologist.

Otherwise, where did you get both of these? I have a keto shampoo (I want to say it is 1 or 2%), but I haven't heard of the powder. I'm fighting thinning hair in the front, and adding some ammo to my Rogaine would be helpful

I "thought" my hair started to thin out when I was on androgel . The rise in DHT is well associated with transdermals, and DHT is a culprit in hairloss. Switching to injections lowered my DHT by about half.

Not sure if it could help you... but otherwise, you could simply lower the dose.
