Syringe measurement question
I'm starting Test Cyp shots next week with my doc. I intend to do sub Q 50mg twice a week with 1mL insulin syringes. I have lots of these syringes that I use for my hCG . Can someone explain to me how to translate each unit of ten on this 1mL syringe into mg's of Test Cyp? This way I'll be prepared with what I need to know in order to discuss this with my doctor when I see him. (It's not his usual protocol.) Thanks.

I was told to divide in half. So 50mg would be 25iu. I do 30iu which should be 60mg SQ. it's .25 or .30 if measuring in ml or cc. Same thing.

Also do not forget to take into account the concentration of your test-c. It most commonly comes in two strengths 100mg/ml or 200mg/ml. That marks the amount of test in 1 ml or cc. So imagine your insulin syringe is filled to 100 units so each unit of 10 is the 100 or 200 number on your bottle divided by 10. Every 10 units would be either 10 or 20 mgs depending on the concentration you have.

Look on the bottle of Cyp you are using. Most common strengths are 200mg/ml. So a dose of 50mg would be .25ml or cc.
