hemoglobin high
After my last blood work about 2 months ago the doc noticed my hemoglobin was creeping up and he mentioned if it got to 18.0 i would need to give blood, he didnt seem very concerned just said we need to keep an eye on it. I took it upon myself to just donate anyway. 2 months go at the blood bank, my number was 17.8. I went in again this week and it was 18.7, they went ahead and let me donate so im thankful for that. My question is... is there anything I can do to to lower this number?
75mg test C 2x week
HCG 500iu 3x week
AI .25mg 2x week
Cialis 5mg 2x day
various supplements

Not really. Stay hydrated as much as possible but once your blood gets up there, you have to donate.

I have a similar problem- I was just at red cross on Thursday worried cuz I knew I havent donated in 5 months- My hemo was 17.8 at the red cross when they tested it an I was able to do double red cell donation- I felt this was perfect because thats exactly what my problem is to many red blood cells- Maybe look into that next time, because im O+ they asked me to do it i guess in my area there short of O+ ..

I am O+ as well, maybe I will ask if I can do that. The blood bank I go to, only allows you to donate every 60 days.....think my doc could write me a note or something to go every month?

The red blood cells is different - its every 112 days but from what ive read its the best thing to reduce hemo levels- here is a link for it at the red cross.

NO. 2 things you can do. Give blood or titrate dose of T down. If you are taking superphysiologically doses of T or have sleep apena RBCs can elevate. 19% HEMOGLOBIN AND 55% HEMATOCRIT is the cutoff for men on TRT to give blood.
