    Trt and male pattern baldness

So I started trt about 6 weeks ago and feel great, can feel all the positives right away. I have also noticed that my mpb has also advanced (just the front part ,temples).

I guess this means I'm converting more DHT? If I what do the pros say to use to protect as much as I can against this.

    Thanks

From what I read it has more to do with the balance between test and estrogen. Both sides of my family have full heads of hair, even up in their 80's, yet I could have sworn my hair was thinning up front by the temples. It worried me at first but once I got my E2 in check, all is fine now. Then again, it could have all been in my head since hair loss was a worry for me as well as most guys starting TRT, so it's hard to say.

Either way, the more you read the more you will learn that DHT is not the enemy and is actually a good thing. Now if MPB runs in your family, then your TRT protocol may speed this process up. Just be careful with DHT blockers as they can create a list of problems such as depression, suicide, etc.

    Good luck

dont take a dht blocker. propecia has caused sexual dysfunction in many men. frdave is right, dht is extremely important for men. if your worried about your hair make sure your testosterone level is high normal not above normal. i think guys on trt should accept hair loss. your hair might be thinning now but it will probably slow down once your body gets used to higher testosterone levels . when your feelin great and your healthy you shouldn't change your protocol.

    LOL Rusty.

Think of it this way. I pay my barber $9 every few weeks for a hair cut, if TRT makes you feel good again it will also save you money every month if it makes you go bald.

Save the 9 buck and get a razor to that head. Its in style now and a lot easier to style. Just watch out for that sun. Ouch. I know since my TRT started, my hair has grown in places I didn't want it to. My nose, ears, brows, etc.
