Fasting or not?

I'm getting BW done tomorrow E2 panel from privatemd labs and prolactin. Should I fast for this?

Test serum, e2, fsh,lh,CBC and I added prolactin, never had it checked and needed BW anyway.

If your on trt the LH/FSH is a waste.

Appears you opted for the female panel from labcorp which is fine for test and cbc, but is not a sensitive E2 test.

If you got labcorp's female hormone panel you will want to be fasting as it checks glucose.

X2 --- I have used this panel every 6-8 weeks since the start of TRT to dial in my protocol (test to E2 ratio).

Also good for keeping eye on other things such as blood thickening and liver values which many people overlook.

id be more concerned about getting the test in the afternoon/nightt han not fasting...if i were you id go to labcorp sunday first thing in the morning and fast.

no, it doesn't mater what time of the day if you are on TRT, your natural production is shutdown and there will be little to no fluctuation in levels during the day.

i didnt know he was on trt..but even if he were wouldnt it still matter in the sense of if he waited until his trough level, aka last day of injection, he would have less and less test in his blood as the hours go by? plus he would have to wait to give himself a new injection

That's a nice convenience. There's a quest close to me but labcorp is close to work so I just go on my way to work. And I'm a grumpy bastard if I don't eat within an hour of waking up.

why dont you just go to the quest in the morning before work? You can fast for that, and then eat after?

Privatemd labs doesn't use quest they use labcorp. I do my own TRT I don't use a dr or a clinic. If the sponsor lowt dot com ever gets a location closer to me I'll definitely go there since they are happy to help you get your insurance to pay for it while the other clinics just want your money and grossly overcharge you for test cyp.
