Red itchy lumps with T Prop

The injection sites for the T prop are forming red itchy lumpy areas of about an inch in diameter. Have been injecting mainly in love handle area with 27g x 1/2 “ needle. The love handles (which are pretty small) are not too bad for the red lumps, but I started injecting into the belly fat to give the love handles a break. I did notice that when I look in the mirror, the love handles are more prominent than usual ie. the t prop has caused a general swelling to some extent. However, the reaction in the belly fat is very obvious. I have been using prop as cyp was not available. I have been storing the prop in a cool dark cupboard rather than in the fridge so it’s a bit easier to load the syringe. What do you think?

How much volume are you injecting? Prop for TRT?

Same problem here. Turns out I'm having an allergic reaction to the alcohol in the test. The compounding pharmacy can make it without the alcohol. At least that's what we hope. I started with cottonseed oil then tried grapeseed oil with no change.

Scratch that. I just called the pharmacy and they said they won't make alcohol free for contamination reasons. No more subQ for me. Its not as bad IM subQ seems to sit longer under the skin and makes it worse. IM absorbes it quicker so the reaction is almost not there. Just gotta do some more bloods and dial in again. No biggie.

with cyp I sometimes get a massive red bump subq, but the thing you gotta do is avoid areas that you have done recently. The last one came bacause I returned to an area and there was still some soreness and a tiny bump, injected a little ways away but it was too close, caused a problem. I get this with getting hcg too close as well. Then you have to leave the area alone for a long time. I would find it odd if you were to do this in a fresh area and have anything more than a small bump. I've only had it bad twice, and one was pretty massive. If that doesn't help, then you might be stuck with IM.

Thanks guys - I inject 0.2 ml T prop into each side ie. 0.4 ml of 50 mg/ml T prop eod, - which has a grapeseed oil carrier. So it's not a big volume. That is 70 mg of T/wk. I have been on TRT 11 weeks now - this is quite an interruption. My love handles which are normally hardly noticeable are puffy as is my belly. I don't want to do IM. Is cyp less problematic? - is it the ester or the carrier that creates this reaction - at least with cyp it would be only twice a week cf 3.5 times a week (eod) - would allow more time for recovery. As it is there are 10 injection sites /wk - with cyp it would drop to 7. J.

it sounds like it might be an allergic reaction...

you could try a different compounded version... there are a variety of carriers/oils as well as preservatives a pharmacy could try.
