    Prolacting and Low Libido

    Hey guys,
could a consistent prolactin reading in the upper third range be the cause of my low libido. Also have poor erections without cialis.
    All other labs look great.

    Total test 816(348-1197)
    Free test 19.2(9.3-26.5)
    SHBG 33.3(16.5-55.9)
    Estradiol sensitive 19(3-70)
    DHEA-S 155 (31-701)
    Vit D 74(30-100)
    Prolactin 12.3(4-15.2)
    DHT 56(30-85)
    Cortisol 13.1 (2.3-19.4)
    Labs taken at. 12:30pm

Everytime I test prolactin it's always above 10 but never above the range. Wondering if I should try to get this down or if it's any concern.
I know libido can come down to just about 1 million different factors, I just recall

Not sure if it could or not.

One thing I notice though is that your E is in the lower range too. When mine was at 14.4 (range 7.6-42.6) I was showing a lot of the same signs that I had with Low T. I quit taking the AI and I feel a lot better 2 weeks later. Not saying this could be the cause but it may be something worth thinking about. My doctor (and kelkel) both have said that low E is just as bad if not worse than high E.

I definitely agree. Although yours wasn't a sensitive panel. On the same range as yours I was at 40(7.6-42.6).
The few times I've been horny though, I know my estrogen was higher, on a higher dose of test, and the first few days of taking dhea.

    Jo, Brett,

You make interesting points but IMO, you're both shooting in the dark and are making assumptions that are not exactly scientifically based. From my knowledge and experience there are so many reasons for low libido and poor erections. Outside medications (eg. antibiotics), low grade infections, viral infections, (eg. a herpes outbreak, the flu) a simple head cold, physical fatigue, age - just to name a few and I'm sure you could think of others.

And then there is the very big influence of a man's general state of mind and emotional/psychological well being. Take a look at this thread:
