KelKel, After talking to the guys here that are on TrT in Beijing 200 is definately a self administrated dose unless the physician just "does not care".
I take 175 mg Test P a week TrT and just got my labs back. Let me tell you it was a complete shock. Exactly 52.500 nmol/L (4.5-28 range) was total test. I am about to write a post about the BS of 200 a week TrT and the dangers from my real blood work.
Your post is excellent.

In regards to the type of workout regimen that Marcus espouses (where one not only trains five days of the week, but trains to beyond failure each time) is it assumed that the person is blasting? Would training to failure each gym day cause injury and or CNS exhaustion if I was only on regular low dose TRT? Does one need to be blasting to do this kind of workout?

How many days you train is up to you, your goals and your schedule. HIT training does not have to be 5 days per week. And no, you do not have to be blasting but nutrition, training and rest should be on point regardless to see positive gains. Blasting / cycling obviously can help if all the aforementioned points are in place.
Regarding injury / CNS exhaustion yes, breaks of lower intensity (think simple failure without drops, rest pause, forced reps, etc) have to be done every handful of weeks or so. Like almostgone said, read the thread. Great motivation, training info and simply a fun thread.

Your bloodwork on 175mg is relevant to you, not to another taking the same amount.
The BS of 200? You cannot make a blanket statement like that. It would be either ignorant or arrogant. Though I agree the majority don't need this much, 200mg barely gets my free T above mid-range.

Needing 200mg per week is rare, but not B.S. either. I would say starting TRT at that level is the wrong way to go. Speaking from personal experience, I started at 200mg/wk under care of my primary and have since switched to a urologist who backed me down to 100/wk when my total test came back almost twice normal range.

I agree. It's best to start low and titrate up gradually as needed. I would love to be one of the guys who only need 80-120 mg, but it is not in the cards for me. I dropped down to 180 for a while hoping I could get away with less and it dropped my free T in nearly half and I felt terrible.

"Relevant to you" is a good phrase everyone should keep in mind. There are often far too many blanket statements made surrounding TRT.
As far as needing 200mg/wk, it's not rare at all. Most men do not need 200mg but plenty do, far more than what would qualify it as a "Rare" need as one of the above post stated.

I'll retract the "rare" classification. I was actually supporting the argument that 200mg is toward the higher side but still completely acceptable based on the individual.
