    understanding e2

hey guys I was diagnosed with low testosterone over a year ago. I was doing test cyp shots up until last November and had to stop because of my moods. so about a month ago I started supplements figured I had nothing to lose. I had blood work done last week and this what I got. testosterone 332 with range of 348-1197, estradiol 23.1 range of 7.6-42.6, estrone 78 range 12- 72. I guess im confused if dr. even did the right test. can someone please explain. I also have problems with gyno. thanks for any serious input

Curious what your protocol was that caused you to stop?
The proper test for males is an E2 Sensitive Assay. Labcorp code 140244, CPT Code 82670. Anything else is basically for women. If your doc doesn't agree with that he doesn't understand the test.

Gyno is a whole different matter. I won't regurgitate it but in the AAS Q & A Forum locate the Educational Articles Database and read the sticky on it.

This might help a little with the background.

It looks like you need to get on a good TRT protocol again. As for the gyno in your other post you say you have had it pretty much forever but it got worse on TRT. How long did you use the tamoxifen and at what doses? If that didnt work then you most likely will have to have it removed surgically.

6 on a proper sensitive assay is horrible. Are you currently taking an AI?
