35 and just got a prescription for androgel.

Hello everyone, been a long time since I logged on here. Got a few questions.

I've been feeling like crap lately, no energy, loss of excitement, no motivation and I just feel groggy and tired all the time. I have zero motivation to lift and I feel like my body looks soft and I'm losing muscle. I'm not however having any decreased interest in sex as I'm horny a lot and I also have no problems with erections.

I went to my Dr. And asked for some bloods to be done...everything came back normal except my T was low....he had me get another T test and it came back even lower then the first one....so he told me I'm a candidate for TRT and prescribed me androgel .

He wants me taking two pumps every morning then he wants to see me again after a month. I'm excited and bummed at the same time....excited because of the muscle I might be able to add and for my zest for life returning....but bummed because I'm 35 and have low T.....anyway, **** it. Here's my questions.

I took a prohormone about a year ago....it was by finaflex and very similiar to 1-AD...I took it for about7 days then stopped cold-turkey...for about three nights in a row my heart was beating very sporadically....it was scary and I thought I was going to have a heart attack! It was fine during the day but for 3 nights it was beating all sorts of sporadic.....I should also mention that I was going through one of the most stressful times of my life so I am uncertain exactly what the cause of it was.

Can anyone tell me if they think this androgel will affect me in this way? And what dose is effective at building muscle? Thanks for any input.

TRT, whether its a gel or injectible synthetic testosterone , it not dosed at anabolic cycling levels nor is it intended to be used that way. TRT is designed to bring your bound and unbound testosterone up to normal levels for your age group. With proper nutrition and training, the androgel will likely lead to some improvements, but this is largely dependent on your caloric intake and training style.

Spend time getting the TRT dialed in so you feel better. Worry less about the muscle development right now. Focus on your nutrition and training and you will see some results.

If you want to run a proper cycle later, after you've found the correct dose for your TRT, that is a separate question for another day.

Cool, brother. Thanks, muscleInk for the info. My diets pretty well dialed in. Eating every three hours, lean protein sources and clean carbs. I pretty much adhere to a bodybuilders diet when on a clean bulk. I'll try to keep you all posted on how things go from here on...start the gel this week....as soon as shit gets approved thanks to NYS bullshit. Thanks again.

i know exactly how you feel since i just started trt a month ago, but muscleink is right. just focus on nutrition, proper training and the results should follow as your body gets acclimated to the higher level of T.

its a hurry up and wait game lol.

How are you responding to it? Is it a gel or the shots?

im starting to notice little things like afternoon energy level is up and im not so tired, but not a whole lot yet. im taking sub q injections 2x/wk which you might want to consider to help get you dialed in faster and be more stable. seems like a lot of guys switch after a few months on gels with subpar results or fluctuating levels that cause unwanted sides. gL

most ive read are switching from pumps to injections, but id rather rub than inject if i was responding well in the higher ranges without sides.

I started on pumps, but I prefer once weekly pinning vs. daily gel application. I also have young children and didn't want to have to worry about transfer through contact. If gels fit your lifestyle, a lot of guys report feeling great on them.

I didn't respond well to trans but to me it sounded way better than injections for life so I gave it a try. I think most try it first but it does seem like most eventually move to injections.
