Test peaks in roughly 24 hrs or so, metabolism dependent. So his term "real T level" is basically irrelevant. Just understand that your test will peak and then begin a downward slide until you inject again. Hence why many guys feel better with the twice weekly protocol's, which will help to control your E2 as well.
When it comes to your estradiol level, know that testing standard estradiol is the incorrect test. You need to obtain an E2 Sensitive Assay. Standard estradiol is simply not sensitive enough for men, who fall at the bottom of the bell curve. This often results in the unnecessary administration of AI's as estradiol reads higher than the sensitive assay. In other words, your actual E2 level is lower than 23.6 pg/ml.
Also, don't be concerned with your total T level. Use your free T level as your gauge as that is what works for us. Speaking of which, do you know what your's was and the range used?
Glad all is well.

Thanks for all the advice, I will ask to do the E2 Sensitive Assay next check in which is in 6 weeks.
As far as Free and Total, the sheet reads as follows in the T section:
Testosterone , Free + Total LC/MS
Testosterone, Total LC/MS-- 907.4ng/dl (Normal range being) 348-1197.0 ng/dL
Free Testosterone(Direct)-- 24.1pg/mL (Normal range being) 7.2-24.0 pg/dL
I could scan it but last time I tried to post an attachment it wouldn't let me due to being new, I guess.

Hey, BF! Man, that sounds like you are very close to getting set up on a decent protocol. I glanced at this thread a while back and was wondering how you had progressed.

Hey AlmostGone, yeah I too had glanced back a few times to see if you had posted any new news about your journey. Glad to see you are still hanging in there. Awesome!!
Yeah, I am starting to get this figured out on how to use T while keeping a close eye on everything. I can't believe how .5 ml 1x/wk raised me from 433 to 907. Before I went to my doctor, I used Men's Health clinic and for one dose and it was 1.5ml every two weeks, after that injection I felt like Superman but crashed hard now I know why LOL...
I feel good and have had very little side effects so far, knock on wood, LOL! Going to keep moving forward and see how this goes...
How did your TRT turn out? still on low dose? doing well??

It is still marginal for now but I feel decent enough to work 6-7 days/ week and lift every other day. I have an appointment coming up in roughly a month and am going to discuss Aveed and a few other things with my primary care physician.
LOL, managing hematocrit is still a bit of a juggling act, but am staying on top of it. I did see one endo that prescribes a more modern protocol a few months back. The visit went downhill as soon as he did a cursory physical exam. The scar from the pacemaker was a deal breaker, I think. He wasn't comfortable treating me since he knew I had heart issues in the past. I may try another after the beginning of the year. I found 3 Drs. listed in the A4M directory that are within an hours ride from my house.
Really glad to hear things worked out well for you.
I see Kelkel has given you a 2 thumbs up, so you should be golden. Kel is one of the most, if not the most, knowledgeable persons that I've encountered when it comes to hormones. Learned much from him and am still learning. LOL, the man is also a true wizard at improvising lifts/exercises with limited equipment
Stop by the HIT thread that is linked below. Great groups of guys and gals that love lifting and the ups and downs of life that go along with it. I warn you though, it is addictive.

OK, so I went in for another set of labs since it has been 2 mos, I am doing labs every month due to Factor 5.
RBC - 5.05
Hematocrit - 40.3
Estradiol - 29.2 pg/ml
Testosterone , Total LC/MS-- 914.5 ng/dl (Normal range being) 348-1197.0 ng/dL
Free Testosterone(Direct)-- 29.2 pg/mL (Normal range being) 7.2-24.0 pg/dL
We did labs on Thursday this time since the last time was taken on Tuesday, I inject on Sunday... .5ml-1x/wk
My Doctor is a little concern with the 914 but I am not having any issues as far as performance, anger etc.
I feel good really, not super man just feel almost normal really.
Right after my last post I did something stupid and tried lifting something too heavy in an awkward position and gave myself a Umbilical Hernia, had that repaired 2 weeks ago and will be able to start working out again on the 22nd of this month. 2 mos down, no working out is friggin driving me nuts, hard to sleep at night.
All in all I am very happy with my TRT!! Very little to No shrinkage, Rock hard in the morning and anytime I want or need to be and just feeling good. Can't wait to get back to weights!!! I Feel like my body is going to just go nuts when I get back on weights. I might see some real growth, I hope anyway. I feel like a horse in a shoot at the track, just let me go!!! LOL...
What do you experts think about the 914 T, it seems like my body is leveled out and liking it. Doctor is on the fence and just watching what I am doing. My numbers have gone up a little on the RBC, Hematocrit, Estradiol but my free T has dropped. I think that the no working out is playing apart on the Estradiol but I am just guessing.
