    Mini stream after injection

Did my subq test injection(upper outer right glute) today same as usual, but when i pulled the needle out i got a small "stream" of blood that hit my leg, shorts and floor. Its almost like something popped/exploded. I checked for blood before injecting and was clear. Maybe I moved around too much and nicked a vein? Something happened and I'm not sure what...

In bold would be my guess. Nothing to worry about, it happens.

thanks kel! i figured it could only be so many things, but im still learning. It was just confusing going from no blood, to lots of blood, instantly.

I got this every time I injected in my left glute until I recently discovered I was injecting lower than I should be.

I would divide my flute into fourths and inject in the upper left square as doc had explained, was always painful and very bloody. Recently googled it and was surprised to see the injection location almost at belt line. Done this the last few times and almost painless!

    thanks for the input score!

i noticed the day after that i was lower than usual. in good light i could see a shallow vein running thru the area so it was my fault. i will try near the belt line area and see how that goes.
