Blood and oil spewed out when I pulled the needle...
I just did my first of 2 pins for the week and when I pulled the needle out, a ton of bloody oil ran down my thigh...I don't think I injected into a vein because I did asperate and didn't have any blood in the syringe. I covered with a tissue and stopped the bleeding quick, so I hope I didn't lose too much test cyp...
Have any of you experienced this?

Well, I'm 6'0",220lb, with 29% body fat and didn't really think SQ would work good for me. I tried it once, but thought I have too much body fat. I guess I don't know enough about SQ. And I don't like the glute. I tried that twice, and prefer the quad.

You can SQ your thighs. That's what I do.
Easy peasy.

You can subq in many different spots. Aren't you running HCG ? I've done both and physically haven't noticed much of a difference but subq is much much easier and convenient.

No HCG ...my current dr doesn't prescribe it.

I use Cypionax brand Testosterone Cypionate , and the temperature here is around 30C (86F).
The Cypionax flows almost as easy as the hCG , so it takes just a second or two to fill the syringe.
Please note I inject daily so the loads are small; currently 0.14mL of Cypionax.
I must prefill my syringes and store them in the fridge. I let them warm to room temperature for about an hour before injecting. The total load (Testosterone plus hCG) is currently 0.26mL, and I take about 20 seconds or so to inject. I *could* inject more quickly, but find I get lumps if I go too fast. I suspect even warming for one hour doesn't allow the oil to warm completely, so it does take a little more pressure on the plunger to inject than to draw, but it's nothing my thumbs can't handle.

And talk to your doc more about HCG as he's not up on current best practices. If he says it's not a prescribed usage, he is wrong. It's right on the package insert for "Hypogonadic Hypogonadism." Google Dr. Crislers current writings on the subject, print them and get them to your doc. Sometimes we have to educate them, unfortunately.

it's all about technique.
don't pull the needle out right after injecting. let it sit there a bit. you should massage the muscle a bit too. you can do it with the needle in there, or if you want to pull the needle out like I usually do, just put your finger over the hole for a few seconds while massaging.
The hole closes up fast

Back in the day when self injecting I had it happen once, it surprised me big time yes. May have lost some product yes, but oh well. Try injecting at a slight angle, never had a problem again.

Something for me to be mindful of.

There's also a technique where you slide the skin slightly out of place before injecting IM. Once you pull the needle out, the skin goes back, and covers the hole in the muscle, so the oil doesn't run back out. I forget the name of it, atm.
