Finding a TRT Dr. in my area (North Jersey)?
Hey everyone,
I am new here to the forums and I am looking for some help. Over the years I had went from being obese (1st grade up til about 7 years ago) to being in pretty good shape, aside from my loose skin. I did all this with proper diet and lifting, etc. I eat very well and don't starve myself by any means. Also in the past few years I have gone back and forth with my Dr about getting TRT because I felt that I may have low test. In any case, I had my blood drawn and my test comes back in the mid 300s. My Dr tells me this is normal everytime and quite frankly I am tired of hearing that answer because I am 31 and don't feel that this is normal. I have dabbled in Prohormones, with proper PCT (Nolva, Clomid, etc) with pretty good results, but then feel like shit when coming off and lose motivation. So basically I am trying to find a Dr who is reliable and possibly takes insurance to help me out here and it seems like someone here may have an answer as to where to go. I live in Northern NJ, so if anyone can help, much appreciated.

Don't know anyone in NJ, but the two doctors below are under an hour drive from you.
Dr. E. Barry Gordon at The Testosterone Deficiency Treatment Center in Brooklyn, NY. 718-252-2627 The office's protocol is VERY old school but if you come in with a solid treatment plan, you may get what you want. I'd suggest you give the office a call and make an appointment with the head N.P., Boris. He's more flexible than Gordon is. My wife and I are both treated there.
I'd suggest you simply tell him what you have been learning on this forum. I saw Boris just yesterday and gave him my updated protocol: 16mg Test Cyp/day, subcutaneously. 125iu hCG /day - both in the same syringe. I also told him I get my hCG overseas. Didn't bat an eye. Mind you I have a 2 year relationship with the office and I had to spit up a lung to eventually get my way but things are running smoothly now. I don't suggest you tell him you want to do what I'm doing but I think a reasonable request would be that you'd like to start at twice weekly shots at 50 mg each. The office has several patients who do this so it wouldn't be a foreign idea to them. Boris will treat you with numbers in the 300s especially if you are symptomatic.
My urologist is excellent and does TRT with his patients. He's in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. He pushes testosterone pellets which I do NOT recommend. But he writes for Androgel , Testim and he writes T Cyp for me now since I've been a patient there for a couple of years also. If you have numbers in the 300s, I'm not sure he would be as willing to treat you as Gordon's office will. David Shusterman. 718-360-9550
Needless to say, all of this would be in a PM if you had the posts required.
