Dr. Scallys PCT after 1.5 years of TRT?

-Looking for feedback from some of the experienced members on this forum.

    Back Story:
My journey with TRT began when plagued by lethargy, sexual dysfunction and daily anxiety I convinced my doc to test my T. With no history of steroid or pro-hormone use my levels came back around 300-325. I've been on TRT for 1.5 years now and my life's changed a lot since then. I've lost weight, developed some musculature, finished the stressful academic phase of my graduate degree, changed my diet for the better and left a dysfunctional relationship. I credit TRT with being an essential part of my life transformation in the last 1.5 years and would gladly make the decision to start again.

That being said, I've also come to realize that at 30 this may be my last opportunity to experience a hormone free life. I realize the chances maybe slim but I'm curious to see if the changes to my health, life-style and stress levels will allow me to return to a normal T level after an aggressive PCT. Should the PCT fail I'm more than content being a lifer, however I feel the need to undertake this experiment before committing to that possibility.

    Questions:
    1) Would DR. Scally's PCT be appropriate for me?
    2) If I've been reasonably consistent with Hcg during my time on TRT is the 2500iu's EOD necessary for the first 16 days?
    3) Gut feeling: What would you say my chances of a successful restart would be?

Why would you want to go back to a hormone free life plagued by lethargy, sexual dysfunction, and daily anxiety?

    That's the question ^^^.
Do you feel you were misdiagnosed previously? Otherwise, odds are you'll end up back where you were before.

Good questions. No, I don't doubt the diagnosis. I'm wondering if poor lifestyle choices (weight, lack of sleep, etc) in combination with a very high stress period could have been responsible for my initial low T and that changing these factors in combination with a PCT may restore me to a normal functioning (600ng/dl)?

I realize this is a long shot but I need more experienced members to let me know how much of a long shot...If the chances of flopping right back into a state I was in 2 years ago are high I may scrap the idea all together.

Well it can all play a part. Whether it would tank your level enough on it's own to require TRT is subjective. To me, it sounds as if you don't try this you'll be living with constant doubt. No one can really tell you what the odds are unfortunately.

    Well said.

Either I come off TRT or (after feeling like shit for a few weeks) go back on knowing it was the right choice. Would you recommend the full 2500iu Hcg EOD if I've been on Hcg the whole time? Might as well give it 100% right?

At thirty years of age, I guess you just have to try to either succeed or get it out of your system.

I believe Scally has changed his protocol a bit.

hCG was changed to 2,000IU every other day for 10 shots, and Tamoxifen changed to 20mg orally twice per day.

I can't answer your hCG question, but think if you don't go full Scally and the PCT is unsuccessful, you may blame it on that. Thus, full Scally seems the way to go.

    Thanks, that's exactly my reasoning.

Thanks! I'll ensure I'm working with his updated protocol.

I'd say try it & get it out of your system. However, I have yet to read a success story on here relating to cessation of TRT and running PCT. Good luck...
