What is optiminial Serum level for Testosterone in Blood Level

I feel Great and I am able to stay balanced with a Free Test of about 650 to 700 .

What should my Optimial Serum level be ? I think my Serum level is high ?

The only thing not in range in BW is slightly elevated Colestrol ?

If you feel great then don't change a thing. Go by feel. After all that's what we all strive for

Is 8.4 high for a serum level ? The BW I received did not give a range ?

Serum level of Testosterone ! ? High as $hit I think ? Is it not supposed to be around 4.5 ? That was after 10.5 days with no Cypionate ? ? ? ?

Sorry, not fully understanding the terminology your using. Do you have both your total and free test readings from your blood work? Do you have a copy of the lab results or just what the Dr told you? I've never seen lab results without ranges provided is all. If you don't have a copy, ask for it then post all results you have.

Yeah, Buzz. Best to re-state your question and give ranges so we all could give you a hand.

Hello my young friend ! Was done by VA and ranges not given ? Another thread started in the Nutrition section that goes into more detail after I received more info ! Still a Prostrate Cancer concern ?

Hope all is well with you and yours ? You can find my Nutrition post by going to my profile ? If you care to ? Free Test was 446 after 10.5 days of no Testosterone and another Dr. who doesn't understand half life and whole life of Test ? He said I sould be Testosterone free after 10 days SOS ?

According to Labcorp... The range for testosterone serum for an adult male is 5.00-21.00.

Here is an interesting read from a very good site, IMO. It's been posted previously on other threads. Of course these ranges are all relative:

The question is a bit confusing.
However, optimal levels, the term can also be misleading. You can say their are optimal averages or averages that are optimal but that doesn't mean everyone falls into that category.
    That said:
Optimal Total Testosterone is 700-1100 ng/dl
Optimal Free Testosterone is 20-30 pg/ml
This is using the LabCorp numbers and it's important to state that because for reasons that make very little sense, not all labs hold to the same when going by units of measurement. For example, notice that pg/ml at Quest will reflect a very different number when compared to pg/ml at LabCorp. This is a very annoying problem when it comes to measuring testosterone.

All of that said - a lot of men always ask to be at the top of the optimal range, but when it comes to TRT the goal is symptomatic relief, that's first and foremost. I've seen plenty of guys that feel great with total testosterone around 600 ng/dl and plenty that feel fantastic with free testosterone around 18 pg/ml and when their levels go higher, they feel worse. And it may not be a worse feeling because of the higher testosterone but rather the balance between all hormones. Of course, it goes without saying some will need to be near or even a little over the average optimal range. In the end there are only a few things that matter:

    1. Are you symptom free?
    2. Is your blood thickness in good shape?
    3. Is your prostate in good shape?
    4. Are you showing any cardiovascular risks since being on TRT?

If you can answer all these questions as follows:
    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. Yes
    4. No
Then things are going right and what the actual testosterone numbers say is relatively meaningless.

Testosterone level was 456 ng/dL after not injecting for 10.5 days .

(Per VA Dr. advise) and he said my Test level was so high I didn't need TRT ?

I have been on TRT for 2 years and when I started it was 78 ?

This test does not show a range for serum level ? But the # is 8.57 H ?

This makes no sense to me can anyone tell me what this means when no range is listed on BW from the VA ? NOTE: for Serum level ?

Wow. Absolutely amazing that the VA doc literally has zero understanding of how exogenous T works. He tests you while your on trt and says your levels are good you don't need it?? Hope you don't need more serious medical treatment from them anytime soon..lol. On a side note, it sounds like you happen to metabolize test relatively slowly. Doesn't really mean anything other than it takes a bit longer to work out of your system. For trt, I'd say its actually a benefit that your levels stay up longer relatively speaking. I'm still lost on the serum thing, just not something I'm familiar with.

My Endo at Johns Hopkins I see once a year said the shoot for "The middle of the high range" which depends on your age, and other stuff. He also amended that when it turned out my blood was too thick, he asked why I took injections instead of the more steady gel. So I would say shoot for the three quarter number between low and high.

SIDEBAR: A wise man once told me to "pay it forward" here as a form of thanks for his teachings, but there is a real chance I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Buzz still playing that numbers game, I have not been on and 6 months and same old.

HOW DO YOU FEEL? That's all that matters, don't chase a number because that's just dumb and will never end. Play with the dose a few months be HONEST with yourself then see where you sit, for me 7-800 I feel best, over 1200 I feel plugged in. Crisler told me the same thing when I fixed my trt 3 years ago, in the past 2 years NOTHING has changed and I still feel great.

Find different hobbies then chasing TRT #s.
