^^^Hmm. Good question. How long do you think you have had low T? What about your Free T? What's the diagnosis of the cause?

Free t is 266 (170-670). I have adjusted my original post as I missed it.. I've had low t for 3 years. But in Australia I'm considered normal, and its taken a while to find a doc willing to treat me. I have yet to have my consult with him at this stage as there is a month long waiting period to see him.
I have seen 1 endo, and 4 gp,s in that time to no avail- so forgive me if I appear short tempered. I've tried my ass off to seek help.
My personal diagnosis is old age. I'm 42Last edited by Simon1972; 11-25-2014 at 06:41 AM.

What's the PSA measured in, unit of measurement?
Also, keep in mind that ejaculation can easily make PSA readings jump up a point to even 2 points. Anything where you're seated and jared, such as riding a bike, horse, motorcycle, etc. for a period of time can also skew the test. If you know you're going to have a PSA on blood testing, avoid these things for the 24hr period before the blood test. And you may have, I don't know, and again, your number doesn't sound bad but without knowing the unit that's all I can say.

Simon,
I was 42 when I started my protocol 4 yrs ago, my TT was 410, different scope but both of us low none the less. My PSA was/ is always in range but a tad bit high, 1.9-2.5 over the last 4 yrs, different scale than yours of corse but high normal.
LT, if ur reading when you say a point or 2, are you referring to the 0-4 pt scale?? And when you say a point I'm assumming you mean 100 basis points, from 1.2 to 2.2?

As Dread said, 42 wouldn't really be considered "old", especially when you compare your age to others on this forum - many of whom have over twenty years on you (myself being one). Perhaps you're old to a nine year old, but not here.
I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you to wait so long to get treatment. No one should have to go through it. I can understand your impatience, and your previous response, although no one would excuse it. It's certain you're not a "dick" - although that response was kind of dickish. You likely saw something about that since you asked people to forgive you for the comment.
Anyway, it's a smart move to be learning on this forum. I wish you luck in finding a doctor who will treat you.

jason, you are not appreciated- i told you to get off my thread because you added nothing of importance apart from insulting my intelligence with your comment ""417 posts and you've been here 2.5 years and just now getting tested?""
for the record this is my 3rd test- and my 5th doctor in 2.5 years- so yeah im plenty p1ssed with the situation i''m finding myself in, im not here to argue with you- im after intelligent responses because i''m taking my health seriously and your comments resemble the response of a kid.

You could of started with 3rd test and 5th doctor. How am I suppose to know that? I wasn't busting your balls just looking for clarification. It didn't make sense. Someone with so many posts talking about what looked like initial blood work. You're the one that read that as an insult because it was NOT meant as one. But you might want to get those anger issues under control before you start adding test to your body. OK there I was busting your balls some. Lighten up you'll live longer

Just kidding. My two cents:
Vitamin D could stand to come up a bit. Are you taking a vitamin D supplement?
Total T isn't terrible, but far from optimal. Total T isn't nearly as important as free T though.
Your free T, while in range, isn't very good and is likely contributing to the symptoms you're experiencing.
In terms of what you should be asking your doctor, I'd first find out how he feels about your bloodwork, but express your concern that your low-normal levels along with your symptoms are concerning to you. I would definitely seek his opinion on your PSA value.
He may be open to trying to fix the problem, or he may be very dismissive.
