Will TRT stop my hair loss?
Hey guys i am 23 yr old male.. 24 this month.. anyways i just started trt after being deficient in testosterone for a year (being monitored by endo to see if it would come back) anyways it never did so i went back on trt.. anyways all of the sudden my friends have pointed out that on the back of my head a bald spot forming.. my overall hair seems thinner too... i do have a form of baldness on my dads side but its only a bald spot and a receding hairline and hasnt progressed past what i guess stage 2 hairloss would be on most charts
anyways i was wondering if the LOW T caused DHT problems during that year i had very lost test and caused the hair problems.. since i started to notice it after this year and i have no been on TRT for 3 weeks. feel much better.. however i am now worried about going bald regardless of my dads and his dads hair.
Im wondering if actually the fact that im on TRT now will stop the hair loss / DHT problems...
Also i have been using steroids since i was 17 which is why i am now on TRT.. bad decision but lets not go there..
Comments and suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Yes more than likely you will grow more and thicker hair.
Mostly thicker on you arms, legs and chest and new back hair if you didnt have it before.
On top of your head most likely it won't get any thicker and most likely will get thinner.

When I start cycling I grew more hair on my arms, chest, and BELLY! lol I'm not very hairy to begin with but I ended up with hair over an inch long on my arms.

TRT is more likely to cause hair loss than hair gain: more test means (in theory) more conversion to DHT, which is a primary cause of baldness. Having low T probably makes one less likely to have issues, as that would mean less DHT. In the end, it's expediting what would happen anyway.

Im the same age as you, and also did my first cycle at age 17. I always had a naturally high hairline and thin hair from birth. On my first cycle i had extreme hair thickening (on my head) and it continued to stay thick for around 7 months after cycle. Then i started to lose hair and thin out again, but just to where it was naturally. After that cycle i didnt do another for 2 years, when i was 19. On that cycle (test and eq) i had extreme hair thickening at first but lost it all and went below baseline for 2 months after cycle then it all came back, i believe because i stopped the test 4 weeks before i stopped the eq. And then a year after i cycled again and have been doing it smart since 20 and hair is thicker than it was at 16 so my hypothesis (different for everyone, although some people may be effected the same as me) is that i always had naturally low testosterone even through youth. A week before and for months before my first test injection at 17 i could only last about 10 minuites tops with my gf. After a week on test i could last for an hour and my dick would get so hard it would hurt after. And that continued for the 2 years off. And even now when im cycling my hair is always thicker on cycle, and thins moderatly off cycle.
I know most people react a certain way to test. Lets say 60% dont affect hairloss, 38% make you lose more hair and 2% grow hair. Forums like this are accounting for the vast majority, but you cant blow off the "wild cards"
Now you say that you started to lose hair after trt, did you lose hair while on trt? Did it become thicker while on? How long were you on, and how long after stopping did you notice?
