A little over 2 weeks into TRT
Here's what I'm on:
150mg Test cypionate once a week
500IU HCG twice a week
.25mg Anastrozole once a week
I decided to split the cyp injections to twice a week after reading several posts on here where they felt less ups and downs by splitting the dose - I do this for the Anastrozole by taking half of its dose at the 24hr mark post injection. As far as the HCG, I decided to split the 500IU 2x week evenly over 7 days, mainly again to reduce ups and downs.
So far, I feel like a freaking bad ass. I haven't felt this good and amped about life or anything in almost 10 years. I feel like I am just as productive off my ADD meds than I was while on them. If I really do need to focus, I do take them but I feel less dependent on it. I know a lot of guys talk about feeling like a god for a bit and I'll admit I feel it too. Honestly I want to capitalize on this feeling in the gym etc.
Right now I'm trying to get my diet in line and not just eating and going unchecked with weight gain lol. I was thinking Keto but I wasn't too sure how well that would go with how HCG works. I found some posts on Reddit discouraging Keto and HCG because Keto is high protein and fat with low carbs. A few posters said that the high fat will cause weight (fat) gain instead of loss.
Anyway, yes I feel awesome and I wake up rock hard in the morning. It's like a 2nd puberty almost because I'm crazy horny and just always ready to go. So glad I did this and I look forward to keeping y'all updated.

Well, happy for you but honestly if only on for two weeks or so it's probably more a placebo effect right now. But that's A-Ok! In the beginning of TRT you're dopamine level will elevate thus giving you some of the feelings you may be experiencing right now. In time your body will balance out (settle down) to a new normal. When it comes to adding keto or anything similar, don't. Focus on your diet and training and you'll be amazed what you can do with renewed testosterone levels alone. No need to rush things.
It would be nice to see you maintain this as a log of how your progress goes with both your blood work and physical changes. Threads like this can really help members.

I'm confused Is the OP referring to a ketogenic diet or ketotifen?
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Sorry I should have clarified that, a Ketogenic diet not ketotifen. I wasn't going to think about throwing anything in until well after my 6 week or even 6 month bloodwork.

I don't think a mild ketogenic diet would be a bad thing. Read up on carb cycling....pretty sure Marcus300 has a good thread on it, and of course you can Google it.
I wouldn't go with a full bore Atkins type diet. IMO, the constant low carbs eat away at muscle too much vs. a slow progression of carb cycling and dedication to lifting. There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

This is a good attitude. It takes some time to find the dosage that gets you feeling decent and you don't need any variables other than your TRT, diet, exercise and rest for now.
Edit: I'm assuming pregnenolone, Vitamin D, and DHEA are a part of your TRT unless you are prescribed benzodiazepines by your Dr. I believe pregnenolone interferes w/ benzos on some level?Last edited by almostgone; 12-07-2014 at 02:48 AM. Reason: clarity...

Vitamin D yes, haven't considered dhea since there wasn't a substantial change when I used it previously in conjunction with Clomid.
Is a ketogenic diet ok to implement though while on my above protocol?

I would stick w/ a mild ketogenic diet, nothing that is too strict on your carbs. Read up on carb cycling. It has done well for me thus far.

I had similar feelings when I started taking Arimidex . I was in such a mood that a co worker in my office jokingly asked what I was on. Lol glad to see you're feeling good. I felt the same way in the beginning. Placebo or not TRT will change your life. I wouldn't do a full keto but cycle your carbs between 50 and 100 grams a day and you'll be fine. You can always visit the nutrition section where they will get your diet on track.

congrats om taking the step towards a better life!
Good move on splitting the Test into two separate shots every 3.5 days, but there's no need to split the Hcg further than twice/three times a week either. I split my T/Hcg M/W/F and it works perfectly for me without Ai since less injected equals less conversion. You can load T/Hcg in the same syringe and really cut down on weekly injections that way. Also, you shouldn't be using an AI until atleast your 6 week bloodwork to actually see how your body reacts to the compounds.

Kelkel - would I just ask my LowT.com doc to add the test to the rest of the bloodwork order?
almostgone - hadn't considered pregnenolone either, wait for 6 wk blood test results or no?
Lifted - my LowT doc prescribed the Anastrozole from the get go.
Probably going to look at ketogenic diets tonight and begin implementing one this week.

Weird. Are you over weight or do you carry a high % of body fat? Those would be the only reasons I could see for him/her assuming you will have higher e2, but even then, you wouldn't know until you test blood.

I believe I would ask to have pregnenolone levels checked and go from there as Kel said w/ the DHEA.
