    New bloodwork

Just got my bloodwork back. This is a new doctor for me and this is my first set of results. This test was taken 24 hrs after my shot. My doc has me on 75mg test cyp. 1 shot per week.

I don't think there is a way to lower shbg it seems that is keeping my free T down.

I will also have another set of BW soon. That set is from 24 hrs after and the next one will be from 1 week later right before my next injection.

Free and bioavailable normal low but total up to the sky. I Guess it has to do with the ester. Even long ester peaks within 24-26 hours, but it cannot be fully used before weaks.

There are ways to impact shbg in a positive way. Danazol is a drug that will help although it's a temp fix. Optimizing your vit D level will help as well as stinging nettle root and avenacosides.

Are you taking any prescription items that could impact it?

I was reading opiates could effect it. I had a spine surgery in June but only took the meds for about 5 days. I'm sure it doesn't have to do with that. Also I'm going to ask him about vitamin D.

Really nothing to ask about Vit D. Get baseline BW so you know where your's is (guaranteed it's low if you're in N. America) and supplement it. Best when taken with large meals as it's fat soluble.

He says that as low SHBG can come with a host of related problems. Mid-range is best.

This blood work was taken 24 hrs before my next injection. Free and bio obviously low. Doc wants me to try 25mg x 2 per week instead of 75mg once per week.

I've been reading and this study shows subjects with hyperthyroidism have increased levels of shbg. I just got diagonosed with Graves' disease and my endo said my thyroid levels are sky high. I was put on methimazole to lower everything. So I think that when my Thyroid levels go down my shbg will follow, my total T will drop and my free and bio Available will go up. My uro was trying to figure out why the shbg was high. I think this is it.

Here is a study I read.

Yes, elevated T3 (which is one of the hormones elevated in hyperthyroidism) increases SHBG. When your thyroid hormone goes doe so should the SHBG.
